Lovely old building with some beautiful original features. The rooms we had were extremely spacious and the beds were very comfortable, I certainly had a great night sleep! Breakfast was superb, a great varied menu and happy to make changes to suit. One big bonus was the enclosed garden which was great for the dogs. Sue and the staff we met were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed for a cycling weekend and Sue was not only friendly but couldn't do enough for us! Hot showers, cold beers and a burger fit to feed two hungry cyclists. Thanks so much for you hospitality and support and we look forward to coming back!

Had a 1 night stay here whilst on business in Llandrindod Wells. Had a good sleep, peaceful night and comfy bed (helped by the fact I was the only person in the guesthouse!). Room was clean - with a super clean bathroom - looked newly renovated. The building is old/historic though and creaky in places! Good service and well looked after at breakfast. Overall a good value stay, great for the surrounding area and easy to find/navigate from.

We stayed at the Highland Moors overnight in August 2023. Online checks suggested it would be an interesting place to visit, in a good location just south of Llandrindod Wells, easy to find and with plenty of parking; and so it proved. Greeted at the front door by a gentleman in overalls waving a paint brush, we knew this must be Jeff, who, with his wife Sue, has spent the last 20 years restoring this dignified building to its former grand state and giving it a new lease of life. They have made a particular point of retaining as many of the original features as possible, and while some of these may not be to every guest’s liking (e.g., the plumbing, radiators, vintage door locks, etc), we certainly loved staying here. Most important, however, the guest house is a very ‘human’ place to stay. Sue seemed very happy to chat with us and pass on information about the house and town - fortunately for us, there were only a few other guests staying that night! We were offered a choice of rooms at check-in, and in the early evening had a lovely meal in the dining room. We had ordered our meals the previous day before we left home, and because I had mentioned an intolerance to onions Sue had very kindly made a separate portion of the plum sauce (on chicken) with no onion content. How considerate is that! Breakfast was also very good the following morning. No doubt some visitors would prefer to stay in an ultra-modern place with loads of gadgets and a huge TV screen in the room, but a few months ago when we stayed in such a hotel in mainland Europe, there seemed to be very little human interaction encouraged between staff and guests – everything depended on having the appropriate ‘App’ on your mobile phone to get any information – even one to help you sleep better! We know which kind of hotel we prefer, and where we feel more relaxed and comfortable. Thank you for a very pleasant stay, Sue & Jeff!

The owners were amazingly accommodating and friendly and went out of their way to cook for me on their night off. Can’t recommend enough and the tenderloin was out of this world. The rooms are spacious and very clean, I would definitely stay again Many thanks
