Undoubtedly the best roast meal on a Sunday that I've had in decades! The roast beef with truffle was absolutely delicious, together with the tastiest cauliflower cheese and other sides; unbeatable and good value. We returned the next evening, the pizza was a bit so-so, but you can't beat their Sunday roast!

Was recommended Host on a rainy Sunday afternoon and experienced the warmest of welcomes. The Sunday lunch exceeded all expectations, the quality of the ingredients, the flavours and the presentation made it one of the Sunday Lunch mains in the uk. Dessert was a decadent but not overpowering sticky toffee pudding. Wow! By chance on the following rainy Saturday my partner and I called in for pizza and were once again blown away. Met South African owner Rassie Cloete and were made to feel like family. Rassie's young daughter, in charge of spraying and cleaning tables made the experience even more special. Perhaps the best eatery and meeting place in St Ives and one of the best in the UK. THANK YOU

The best pizza in Cornwall in my opinion. Special!!!! Staff are friendly, the boss wades in to help in the kitchen and it's great. You can see them all cooking from the bar.... I like that

Cosa è piaciuto · La struttura è composta da due suite e basta. Camera molto ampia con salotto bancone con lavandino ampio letto e grandissimo bagno dotato sia di vasca sia di doccia. Essendo in pieno centro bisogna fermarsi, su indicazioni della proprietà, in una via sul retro lasciare i bagagli dove una persona (gentilissima) li prende e te li fa ritrovare davanti alla porta della camera. Dopodiché bisogna portare l’auto in un garage coperto a circa 300 metri. La camera è ben arredata. Abbiamo mangiato al ristorante della stessa struttura una pizza eccellente Cosa non è piaciuto · Premetto che stiamo valutando una struttura che costa 500 euro a notte. Le ampie e belle vetrate non sono insonorizzate e si sente il traffico. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti e nessuno si è degnato di rifare la stanza, abbiamo chiesto più volte alla ragazza che ci ha accolto ma non è servito a nulla. Oltre al letto non rifatto al bagno non pulito e agli asciugamani non cambiati abbiamo avuto anche il problema il giorno dopo a fare colazione. La colazione viene servita in camera dove portano alcune brioche, della macedonia di frutta e yogurt. Tutto buono ma imposto, nessuno ci ha chiesto cosa volevamo. Il caffè te lo devi fare da solo in camera. Il secondo giorno non c’erano le tazze e siamo dovuti scendere al piano terra per recuperarne due. Concludo dicendo che il potenziale è ottimo ma noi abbiamo avuto troppi disservizi e se rammento quanto pagato i 3 pallini come voto sono fin generosi.

Not been for a little while . The service and food available is all excellent. The owner is very knowledgeable and has a very good wine selection. Probably the best pizzas in this part of Cornwall but it is so much more than a pizza restaurant

Service, food quality, cocktails all excellent. Greeted by a very attentive lady and served by a young fella. Both excellent and assets to the business. Drinks order taken promptly and drinks served equally quickly. The restaurant was almost full but everyone appeared to be served equally well. Food was ordered and arrived hot ( something you would expect but doesn’t always happen), we shared a pepperoni and hot honey pizza with Rosemary salted fries and breadcrumbed halloumi. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. Thank you for an excellent dining experience!

On a very quiet January night we we’re the main group of 6 dining. Place felt cold. Service was attentive but pizzas were Not really wowing + prices are very high indeed. This was a shame as we’ve been before and was very good food and live music on a Friday

The BEST Sunday veggie Roast I've EVER tasted! Roasted beetroot and goats cheese, such delicate flavours.So delicious! My partner had the Roast Beef. Beautiful wine, cocktails and food! Lovely ambience, so glad I booked. Great service! Yum Irish coffee. x ?

Don’t hesitate! You will have the loveliest of experiences staying here. Not only are these suites gorgeously decorated and designed with such lovely personal character, warmth and thoughtfulness, the hosts went above and beyond to make us truly feel welcome after a long journey. Genuinely good hearted and they embody the true meaning of the word host! St. Ives is the perfect base camp for your Cornwall experience. We loved being right in town and found it easy to walk right out our door to many adventures or just a lovely time in town! So much right out our doorstep. Such a great experience staying here on so many levels! We will be back!

The Host is a beautifully renovated old bank and is outstanding. It offers an exceptionally comfortable stay with great hosts who are warm, welcoming and always ready to assist. The attention to detail in every aspect of the property is remarkable, making it not just a place to stay but a home away from home. Moreover, considering the quality and experience provided, it offers excellent value for money, with a great restaurant and bar downstairs. It is situated close to everything in the centre of town. Highly recommended for anyone visiting St Ives.
