From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the charming owners and shown around! The hotel is phenomenal and spotless! The food is exquisite and the service just perfect! Our room had a beautiful sea view - it is definitely worth the extra €s! The beautiful beach just opposite is Bagno Annetta and it is superb (we also recommend eating there! What a treat!) At the hotel you can hire bicycles which is brilliant because the town centre is easily accessible but not so easy for parking your car. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Thank you Hotel 1908! We will be back! Hopefully very soon!!
My wife and I had a wedding in Bagni Di Lucca over the weekend of May 25 and decided to extend our trip and celebrate our own May anniversary. An Italian friend recommended Forte Dei Marmi. My wife has spent a lot of time in Italy, but never got to this city. Well, it was fantastic. This hotel is centrally located. It's family run and everyone is friendly and works hard to make your experience enjoyable. We had drinks at the pool, and ate at the restaurant one evening. Breakfast was included every day and it was very reasonable. (Granted we were off season and stayed on a Sunday and a Monday, but still.) I can't recommend this hotel enough. And when they found out it was our anniversary, we returned to our room after our anniversary dinner to find Prosecco on ice. It's a short walk to downtown, a short walk to the water and a short walk to almost every good restaurant in town. Stay here if you get the chance.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte all'hotel con mio marito. Ottima pulizia, da dire che menrre i clienti sono a cena passano nuovamente a sistemare la camera e quando entri trovi un ambiente pulito, ordinato e super accogliente Nel bagno c è tutto, saponi, kit con spazzolino e dentifricio, kit igiene, non manca nulla La colazione è buonissimisssima, tutto fresco, dal dolce al salato Lo staff è gentilissimo Grazie a tutti
Great location in a town where location matters. It’s not value for money (tough to find those in Aug) but it’s very respectable for a four star. Service was generally good. Rooms clean and functional. Overall - would definitely recommend. It’s a nice family hotel, good service and phenomenal location.
I have been to Forte de Marmi a few times and wasn’t so impressed, but after staying at Hotel 1908 I fell in love with this beautiful city! It is conveniently located - right across the street from the beach and steps away from the centre. The rooms have high ceilings and are bright and very clean. The staff is super friendly and very helpful with reservations etc . The owners of the hotel were there during our stay and couldn’t have been nicer. . . We really felt like we were staying with family! And last but not least the restaurant - hands down best meal I have had in all of Italy. The menu is changed daily so you will never get bored with the selection if you plan on staying long. Im a very harsh critic and this hotel has surpassed all of my expections. I can’t wait to come back to this magical hotel

Abbiamo soggiornato qui a Pasqua e Pasquetta, cercando la posizione vicino al mare. Il prezzo della camera era molto alto, confidavamo di essere in un vero 4*, in realtà ci siamo trovati in un 3*. Siamo arrivati e la camera aveva un problema alla cassetta del water, non abbiamo potuto usarlo la prima notte perché si è rotta, la mattina hanno provato a riparala ma non ci sono riusciti e ci hanno dovuto spostare in una camera adiacente. Le camere al primo piano (definite Deluxe!) danno su un corridoio di passaggio e le porte non sono insonorizzate, ogni volta che qualcuno fuori passa e parla, lo senti come se fosse in camera con te. Idem per le finestre, la strada principale è di fronte e senti tutto il traffico e gli schiamazzi a qualsiasi ora, chissà ad agosto… Fuori dalla porta, c’è un aspirapolvere in corridoio dietro una porta, una paletta con la scopa, insomma, in un 4* non ci sono questi dettagli fuori posto. Nella seconda camera abbiamo notato che ci sono gli stessi difetti segnalati in un’altra recensione di 2 anni fa, cioè la porta gonfia di acqua che non si chiude bene, la tenda in camera strappata, la tenda della finestra in bagno mancante che se esci dalla doccia ti vedono dal giardino. Le biciclette che ti mettono a disposizione sono abbastanza arrugginite, con i freni che stridono, mentre vedi in giro per Forte tante bici di Hotel tenute benissimo e perfette. A fine soggiorno non ci hanno neanche chiesto scusa o proposto un omaggio, un buono, uno sconto. Non ci hanno nemmeno chiesto se fosse andato tutto bene. Ci hanno dato il conto e stop. Io ho girato tutto il Mondo in Hotel 4* e 5*, questo è davvero un 3* base. Non si riesce a comprendere perché non facciano manutenzione con tutti i soldi che chiedono per un soggiorno. Non ci torneremo.
