Our room was in the new section, was spacious. There was coffee and tea offering but not little bottles of water. There is no dinner option, only breakfast. Breakfast was average. Security of the property was not great, I was seating at the lobby area and a beggar get in the property, I had my bag with my money but Thank God she did not grab it.
Martina made us feel so special and helped us beyond duty. She even checked to see if we ca wrap our luggage at Walvis on our way back to SA. The breakfast matron and bar tenders were all very friendly and made us feel super welcome. Martina managed to give us a unit with a partial sea view which we thoroughly enjoyed. The best sunsets we from the rooftop terrace. From there we could see the staggered dunes lacing the town in the East up to the lulling ocean in the West. We were able to walk to the jetty, all restaurants and shops and nearest swimming beach. Definitely booking to stay at La Mer again the next time we visit Swakop.
Great hotel in the heart of Swakopmund, very close to the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean with nice balconies. Even without A/C, the room was plenty cool at night during my New Year stay.
The staff are wonderful and very helpful with booking activities. Just a heads-up: your private fridge is located in a shared kitchen area for your section rather than in the room. Breakfast is standard for Namibia. I would definitely stay here again!
Excellent central location near the beach. The rooms are spacious and clean; our balcony had a great partial sea view. Even during New Year, the room was cool enough at night without A/C. Highlights: Rooftop & Bar: Beautiful spot for sundowners and watching the sunset. Staff: Wonderful and very helpful with activity bookings. Fridge: Private fridge for each room located in a nearby shared kitchen area. Food: Standard Namibian breakfast included. A great place to stay in Swakopmund
If you're not too fussy, the accommodation is okay. However...no aircon in bedroom, Room safe wasn't large enough for laptop. Beds not very comfortable. We had to leave the sliding door open on the evening for proper ventilation as there are no windows in bedroom. Fridge not in room but in a shared space with room next door, not great. The warm option of breakfast was quite greasy and no option offered for sausage with eggs. Only a tiny piece of bacon. Plus points: Good location, safe parking. Suggestions for a trip to see the little 5 in the desert was much appreciated and well worth while. Good shower and everything was spotlessly clean and tidy.
Mooie centrale ligging, parkeerplaats in binnenplaats, lekker ontbijt en ruime kamer met goede bedden. Het was onze derde keer en we zouden dit hotel zeker weer boeken.
Die Auswahl am Frühstücksbuffet h?tte etwas gr??er sein dürfen und der Service (Aufnahme der Bestellung für Ei/Rührei) etwas schneller sein. Ansonsten tolles Hotel in perfekter Lage. Sauber und gepflegt. Dazu ein sehr guter Service/Kommunikation hinsichtlich Buchung von Aktivit?ten. Wenn man als Neuling in Namibia unterwegs ist wünscht man sich so einen Service. Weiterer positiver Pluspunkt: Viele Steckdose ohne zwingend Adapter zu ben?tigen und zus?tzlich mit USB Anschlüssen.
Very good value for money and the executive room I upgraded to was well worth it. Friendly and helpful hotel staff and the bar is open til late; so I highly recommend. Splurge on a higher category room as the views are great, offer elevator anccess and they have refrigerators with a small freezer compartment.
