Room was clean and cozy. Beware there are three floors of wooden stairs. Everything else was great.

Sehr altes, verkommenes Hotel, wo anscheinend seit Jahrzehnten nichts investiert wurde. Alles sehr laut

Vriendelijk personeel, traditioneel ontbijt. Kamer in souterrain met een raam maar geen uitzicht, schoon. Kapotte lamp bij aankomst, brandalarm dat piepte ook ‘‘s nachts , batterijen waren leeg maar werden niet vervangen omdat er geen batterijen waren.
We hadden het hotel geboekt voor de allure en vroegere grandeur. Die was niet aanwezig in de kamer in het souterrain. Vraag dus een kamer op de verdiepingen als u dit ook wil.
In het algemeen is de grandeur wel nog aanwezig maar gedateerd en toe aan onderhoud, waar overigens mee begonnen is , te horen aan de bouwgeluiden .
Locatie is goed.

Von au?en wirkt das Hotel sehr einladend: ein stolzes Geb?ude mit altem frankfurterischem Charme. Auch innen hat es durchaus Atmosph?re, fast schon etwas Antikes, mit gro?en Zimmern und M?beln, die teilweise an die 50er-Jahre erinnern. Wer so etwas mag, findet hier vielleicht genau den richtigen Ort. Mein Zimmer lag allerdings im Souterrain, erreichbar über mehrere Ecken und einen etwas düsteren Vorraum. Das hatte zwar irgendwie seinen eigenen Charakter, wirkte aber insgesamt sehr alt. Das Badezimmer fühlte sich improvisiert an, fast wie bei einer Familienfeier neu tapeziert. Mein gr??ter Kritikpunkt war jedoch das Bett: so alt wie die übrige Einrichtung, mit einfacher Federkonstruktion und viel zu weich. Für erholsamen Schlaf eher ungeeignet. Vielleicht liegt es auch daran, dass ich sonst eher moderne Business-Hotels gewohnt bin. Fazit: Wer nostalgischen Charme und antikes Flair sucht, ist hier richtig. Wer aber Wert auf modernen Komfort und guten Schlaf legt, sollte besser eine Alternative w?hlen.

An overnight stay. Spent little time in the room which was very basic.

As always, had a beautiful room and a wonderful stay. Breakfast was lovely and definitely worth the price. Everytime i come to Frankfurt I book my stay here.

This is an old school hotel in the heart of south Frankfurt. It’s definitely quirky with original furniture from decades ago. The room was clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The weather was pleasant so we kept the windows open. Not sure if there is AC in the rooms or not. Don’t go if your expectations are for a modern room. The staff was pleasant. Reserved the room because of the reviews of the German style breakfast. Didn’t realize the breakfast was an extra charge, so opted not to get it. Great location for exploring the city. Less than 10 minute walk to the Sud Bahnhof. Restaurants and stores within walking distance. The neighborhood is quiet at night.

Our room, the Jungle Room, was delightful and comfy. The breakfast was amazing and such a great value. The stairway is beautifully polished and well decorated but steep so watch your step!

What an absolutely gorgeous hotel. Post war, but with old world charm. Huge ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and a balcony. Our room was giant. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast is an extra fee but worth it. Delicious and plentiful with lots of healthy options as well as the usual meats and cheeses. It’s a half hour walk from old town so if that’s your jam, you never have to take public transit.

No elevator but otherwise great!
The location is amazing. Close to the train station and in the heart of sachsenhausen walking distance from a lot of great restaurants and bars. I loved the old house charm and decor with really quaint wall papers. The only issue is there is no elevator. So not great for older people, people with disabilities or if you have lots of luggage unless you can get a room on the ground floor. Even the entrance is not wheel chair accessible as there are a set of steps to get in.
