Zimmer entspricht meinen Vorstellungen und war sauber.
Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine grosse Auswahl, da findet sicher jeder etwas.
Alles in allem entspricht das Hotel den Erwartungen und es ist unkompliziert.
Comfortable and spacious room. A very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was amazing and had such a big spread of anything that you would want. Delicious and filling. The room was a bit warm but we turned down the heating. The only thing that could be improved was that the sheets and pillow cases were quite a rough material and were slightly uncomfortable. But otherwise the service from Bala at the desk was excellent and would definitely recommend this accomodation.

The hotel was located in the middle of the hill, just like many of the hotels in Grindelwald. There was free bus in the area so it was easy getting up and down. Yet, the bus service stops at around 6 or 7pm, and you will have to walk up the hill from the train station for about 20 minutes. Also, potentially because it was in the middle of the mountain or it was winter, it felt very dry in the middle of the night. It would be nice if there can be a humidifier in the room.
However, the view of the room is absolutely worth it. You can look at mountains like Eigerblick just from your room and the breakfast buffet, and it is extremely breathtaking.
The breakfast buffet included was decent, with fruits, bread, cereal, some hot food and drinks. In particular the eggs were very nicely done.
The bathroom looks a bit old-fashioned and narrow, with slightly insufficient lighting, but overall it was clean and good.
The service was generally good. We were greeted with great smiles and friendliness by the reception and staff at the breakfast buffet.
Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it:)
H?tel basique, mais propre sur les hauteurs de Grindelwald (le centre est à 12 minutes à pied ou à 5 min de bus qui s'arrête à c?té de l'h?tel). L'h?tel manque d'entretien et mériterait d'être rénové, mais c'est correct. La vue depuis la salle du petit déjeuner (qui est très bien) est fantastique. Le staff est ok, mais pas très chaleureux.
Wir haben sp?t gebucht und das verfügbare Angebot an Zimmern war an einem Wochenende in der Hochsaison sehr beschr?nkt. Wir haben zu unserer Freude noch ein Zimmer erhalten und alles hat wie abgemacht bestens geklappt (Zusatzbett im Zimmer, Parkplatz reserviert). Also dürfen wir uns nicht beklagen, insbesondere weil die Sauberkeit sehr gut, das Bett bequem und das Bad gross waren. Alles klappte bestens wie vereinbart. Die Einrichtung war etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wirklich entt?uscht waren wir über die Aussicht an eine hohe Wand und eine rostige Schubkarre direkt vor dem Zimmer für einen doch recht stolzen Preis, insbesondere weil wir eine Aussicht auf den Eiger oder zumindest das n?chste Haus erwartet h?tten. Auch das Flair entsprach eher einem Stadthotel in London als einem Berghotel in Grindelwald.
Good solid product for a relatively modest price. Rooms are functional and clean. The last major building overhaul dates back a while and the revival of the bar would be a good idea. Friendly service, good breakfast in reasonable proximity to the centre of Grindelwald. Bus stop around the corner.
