Travelled here with Crystal Ski, chose the hotel as it was good value for money and had good reviews. Situated just off the main square, so very handy for shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Which there are plentiful. Some of the cafes do offer take out tea/coffee. The room we had was very spacious, with lots of storage, and a comfortable bed. Although we didn't have a refurbished room, it did look like the toilet/bathroom had been modernised. Liquid soap and shower gel included. Room came with a balcony. There is a large TV, only English channels as you would expect is the news. No fridge or tea/coffee making facilities. There is a safe, in order to use it a 20 euro deposit for the key is required, on return you receive 15 euros back. Rooms are cleaned every other day. Apart from the church bells ringing regularly starting at 6 am, it was a very quiet hotel, and even if you had the window open at night, also very quiet. Which is good considering you are very central. Communal areas were nice, modern and clean. Small seating area near the reception, decent size breakfast room, and a small bar with a nice atmosphere which opened later on in the day. It also served snacks, which was very handy as we arrived on the later flight. Good buffet breakfast, mainly continental style, with addition of boiled, scrambled eggs, and bacon, and those fabulous bread rolls. Between 3 and 5pm soup or toasties were on offer. There is a boot room in the basement with heated boot rack, but they do have an agreement with the Hotel Park to use their facilities, which is only a 2 min walk from base of slopes. So very useful, as the walk from the Fischer would take about 10 minutes. Not something you would want to do in ski boots. We did find opposite the Max Pub and close to the gondola, a ski rental shop which rented out heated lockers for a few euros a day. We were given a St Johann guest card which gave us free use of local transportation. The train station is about a 10 min walk away, very efficient service, and in 6 minutes you can be in Kitzbuhel. Sinead who checked us in was very helpful, as was all other members of staff. My partner skis, but I am a non skier, but this is certainly a big enough resort for me to walk about. Recommendations: The Post Bar, Jagglback, Zimm Dampfl, Sky lounge, 4th floor of Cubo hotel. and La Rustica.

Excellent welcome, located in the centre of town on a quiet side street central to all amenities. Lovely comfortable rooms with amazing views of snow capped mountains. A very substantial breakfast,excellent staff, all round a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved our recent stay at The Fisher. Michael family and staff are incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The bedroom and bathroom were always spotless, which we really appreciated. If you need help with anything at all, Michael is more than happy to point you in the right direction and share great local tips. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and are looking forward to returning ??

Excellent Hotel and extremely friendly staff. Close to all shops and amenities and perfect for a family holiday and ski trip.

I stayed in Hotel Fischer for a week long skiing trip in January with friends. It was a delightful experience being so well looked after by such friendly, helpful and gracious staff. Breakfast was hugely varied and of the highest quality. The hotel is ideally located to easily travel in every direction, having the train station within 300m and also a full range of bus connections. It is the liveliest bar in town making it the no.1 choice for evening entertainment. Easily the best place to stay in St Johann in Tirol

The experience at the Fischer Hotel was excellent. From the moment we arrived, Michael, Monica and the entire staff made us feel so incredibly welcome. The rooms were recently remodelled and are very modern. The atmosphere in Michi's bar was excellent, and we enjoyed relaxing there after a day on the mountain or for a cocktail after dinner.

This hotel is a little gem. Fantastic location, right in the centre of the town - the Christmas market was just round the corner along with a number of restaurants, bars and shops. The Christmas atmosphere was perfect. Service, hospitality and friendliness are 5-star with the added bonus of a bar frequented by both locals and guests which added to the homely vibe. Sinead and Nathan are a credit to the hotel as are all the staff who made our stay so amazing - from reception, breakfast room and housekeeping - Thank you all! Our room was so cosy we felt we were at home - so clean and also quiet. The hotel also organised a ski lesson for me and the instructor (Nathalie from Skischule St Johann) actually taught me to ski (hadn't skied in over 40 years!!) - never thought I'd be on the mountain on the second day! So thank you Nathalie. What an experience! We loved every minute! Couldn't recommend this hotel enough. What a great Christmas memory for us. Would love to come back. Vielen vielen Dank.
