Small exquisite hotel in the heart of the Kastro area of Ioannina. The rooms are on the small side with only a double bed. Very good showers and a lovely patio where an excellent breakfast is served (also perfect for an early evening ouzo - you need to bring your own but the staff happily provide glasses and ice).

A charming, boutique hotel in the Castle zone. Easy walk to the lake and town. Excellent and generous breakfast and helpful local recommendations.

The boutique hotel is located in the midst of the fortified old town, a stone throw away from the castle. The hotel as well as the rooms are very well appointed and clean, the beds are extremely comfortable, the bathroom functional. The breakfast is served "home style", huge platters of fruits, Greek delicacies, eggs etc, all beautifully presented, are placed on the table. Daily a different variety! The owner, a young friendly passionate gentleman, took care of the guests from arrival, throughout the stay inclusive of the breakfast preparation until departure.

Charmant petit hotel installé dans une maison historique au coeur du chateau de ioanina. Le personnel très acceuillant, le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux. Idéalement situé pour un city trip en amoureux à Ioanina. Accès en voiture possible, mais uniquement avec un véhicule pas trop volumineux (vu l'étroitesse de certaines rues du chateau)

Una piccola bomboniera all'interno del centro storico. Molto ansiosa per il mio arrivo dopo la mezzanotte, ho ricevuto una rassicurante e dettagliata assistenza via email prima della mia partenza. Ampia e variegata colazione al tavolo, salata e dolce, servita in giardino. Indimenticabile lo yogurt con miele e frutta secca. Camera piccola ma curata nei dettagli. Personale attento e gentile. Unica pecca, la doccia che perdeva acqua ma per una sola notte non è stato un gran problema.

Kastro Guest House/3* Hotel is within a converted ‘Period Mansion House’ located in a very peaceful spot in the walled Kastro of Ioannina. There are just 7 very well appointed rooms all have Air Conn!, good beds, and clean modern bathrooms. The building is well kept and has a very pleasant patio where breakfast is served subject to ‘the weather’. The breakfast is freshly prepared and delivered to your table with a good selection of items, Juice and Coffee All in all a lovely place to stay with good service. However with all of that said, there was a lack of charisma and interest in you as a guest, what you’d done that day, or any enquiry of your plans or suggestions on what you could do in and around Ioannina, there was just no engagement from the staff. We felt quite ‘processed’ when we had departed, hard to explain but disappointing.

After researching the options in guide books and on hotel websites, Hotel Kastro turned out to be an excellent choice for our 2-night stay in Ioannina. Its location within the residential, traffic-free part of the historic old citadel was both picturesque and peaceful, while the bustling city centre with it's many interesting shops and good restaurants was an easy walk away. The hotel itself, converted from an old mansion set within a small garden, was charmingly furnished and spotlessly clean. The bedrooms were equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast provided was both bountiful and delicious. We received a warm welcome on our arrival and very helpful advice on what to see and where to eat in the area, in accordance with the overall feeling of personal care and attention offered by the owners.

Very comfortable 2 night stay at hotel Kastro. Friendly welcome from Xenia and team. Rooms elegantly decorated, comfortable beds. We had a double aspect room with views to the castle. Quiet area of the city within the castle walls. Delightful courtyard for guests to use for breakfast or just relaxing. Amazing breakfast, plentiful, and beautifully presented. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if visiting Ioannina again!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans ce petit h?tel au coeur de la vieille ville. Chambre confortable et très propre. Accueil sympathique, la réceptionniste a même fait l'effort de parler fran?ais. Petit-déjeuner copieux et gourmand. Accès facile vers les Zagoria pour randonner.
