I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She said it was Fine, only there was road works that we weren’t told about. Luckily we saw the workman before breakfast and were able to move the car out before they closed the road off. Had we have waited until check out our car would have been blocked in. Sheets had a stain and shower flooded.

Booked this quirky accommodation experience for a 3 night suprise weekend getaway for my wife's birthday. While we love doing things a little differently this experience was a significant let down. Lots of upsells on the website though, free coffee's at the downstairs Cafe, unfortunately that is closed on weekends so had to wait 2 days to take advantage of that, and unable to locate many hot beverage options in the immediate vicinity, strange for Melbourne, the Airstream only had herbal tea as an option, no coffee, milk or anything else really. The HIGHLY TOUTED FREE MINI BAR, help yourself all free, consisted of 2 cans of beer, 1 bag of popcorn and 1 bottle of Pinot Noir, none of which were replenished over 3 days, except for the bottle of Pinot, which we had to ask for on the 2nd day, there isn't even bottled water in the mini bar, its just a carafe of water from the tap. It also took 2 days to get fresh towels. While they are authentic 70's Airstream vans it's a shame that they weren't retro fitted to some degree with windows that close properly or satisfactory heating. Pro's Shower had great pressure and good hot water. Bed sheets, LOVED the Bamboo bedding Con's ( a lot) Mini bar was far from satisfactory. Missing BASIC amenities, such as an iron / ironing board, storage/hanging space, in fact no coat hangers at all, just 1 hook in a small cupboard. Heating (lack of effective heating) Quite chilly as some windows weren't able to be closed. Lack of housekeeping, had to ask for everything, 2 days to get fresh towels and glasses cleaned/washed. Sadly the entire experience was a large letdown, so much so that after the first 3 hours I was seriously considering booking one of the regular hotels we stayed at.

I've had Hotel No on my bucket list for sometime, as I love a quirky property and this one certainly fitted the bill! I stayed overnight in the Airstream furtherest away from Flinders Lane. It was clean, but the bathroom unfortunately smelt like a sweaty locker room. Luckily the bedroom/lounge area smelt fresh and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the complimentary mini bar items and it was lovely to sit outside the Airstream surrounded by the other rooms on the rooftop. When I arrived, I had trouble with app to open the Airstream door and locate the room number, but it is just a matter of pressing the app twice and your number appears, unfortunately I had to get assistance and I was desperate to use the toilet at the time, so the delay having to get assistance wasn't exactly appreciated. Anyway, after the Airstream no. was located, the app. then worked perfectly. No Hotel is well situated for shopping, theatre and dining- Melbourne's new Mercato Centrale is only a five minute walk away. The hotel is situated on the roof of a carpark and complimentary parking comes with your stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but one night was enough.

We stayed last night. Was so looking forward to it, based on the awesome marketing images and some reviews we had read Pros: *unique experience, something different. *good service when we called with an issue with the spa *mini bar Cons: #Keys didnt always work, luckily the cleaner helped on 2 occassionas as it kept saying "no key found". Other times it worked fine. So a bit odd at how inconsistent it was. #Its super noisy, sooo many people were screaming and partying all night on the street and the airstreamer is not equipped for any sound proofing at all. You could hear every car go past, all the ambulances and city noise. It would be better if they had them on a higher building. #Bathroom ceiling leaked so the floor was wet and water would drop on us #unfortunately the spa wasn't working so we couldn't make use of it, I did get help when I called but after waiting first 10 minutes and then 30 minutes (on advice from Notel), we gave up as we had dinner plans- so that extra upgrade was sadly a waste for us. :( I would have preferred to just get the regular airstreamer Overall its a unique idea but it needs some work for the price tag. . Seamless entry, better understanding of getting in, maybe remove the no entry sign off the pink door and replace it with HOTEL NO for starters, better insulation and a higher roof top would definitely improve everything. If we hadn't paid the upgrade I would have been happier as we wouldn't have had the issues with the spa.

My wife and I had a great time staying a night at the Notel. We paid the extra for the one with the spa, which was well worth it. More private outdoor area and the spa was heated and ready to go when we arrived. We failed the roller door challenge only because we had the wrong roller door (our fault)! Hint: The pink normal door from the street is your first one! Tara - our super friendly Notel helper - steered us in the right direction, and shared a laugh with us. She was also really helpful with queries leading up to our stay. Thanks Tara! The caravan itself was great. Super strong shower in a large bathroom was a bonus. As some other reviewers have said, the caravan can be a bit hot in the summer and the aircon is not super strong, but there is a fan as well, which made sleeping for me easy. My wife is a light sleeper and woke up a couple of times from city noise (totally expected), so perhaps a set of ear plugs for others might be an idea. I myself had no trouble sleeping through. Free coffee from the very Melbourne / European style laneway coffee place downstairs in the morning capped off a great experience. If you come not expecting a hotel (as the name suggests), and with a sense of fun and adventure, you'll have a great time like we did. Really recommended.

When you’re paying $450 a night there’s a minimum expectation of nice clean white sheets, a clean mould free space and a sense of privacy. Notel offers none of this. We came here with the understanding that you pay for the novelty of staying in a unique caravan, in the centre of the Melbourne CBD so the price point we thought high, but fair enough if it was clean and easy. It was not clean and easy. The novelty of an Airstream stay wore off as soon as we stepped into the space. The best way to sum up the feeling is like walking into a Californian roadside scummy motel, where a musty damp smell and broken, damaged components make you feel as though you shouldn’t touch anything for fear of contracting something. We have an airstream back in NZ so we understand the quirks and the difficulty with maintaining these beautiful things- the Notel pays little attention to this so the damp and mould has set in pretty quick. It doesn’t help that there’s no where to hang the bath mat or other wet towels… We’ve added images of the broken walls, curtains that don’t work and are broken, crappy Kmart “ammenities”, patched over sheets, grungy dirty floors and black mould on the bathroom walls. The lowdown: This place could be amazing. It has real potential for a unique and special experience that’s been let down by a lack of maintenance and the shiny-fake expectations set by their Instagram posts.

My 7 year old and I stayed for a Mummy daughter surprise this week and I'm speechless! I was nervous reading negative reviews and we usually stay at Crown hotels so wasn't sure if I had made the right choice. From before our stay with the wonderful Tara offering to have a kids tent set up to surprise my daughter, to the fun little emails leading up, I was getting excited. On the day the car park attendant was so lovely and welcoming as were the Cafe staff. Once we got in I actually couldn't work out which one ours was but saw the kids tent set up through the window. Opening the door to our airstreamer we were blown away! The pink was so cool, the kids set up was beautiful and everything was such high quality. Sheridan towels, amazing sheets and the coolest free mini bar! Even got a lovely hand written note and a bottle of Yarra Valley Rose to toast the Matildas that night. It was so so clean inside and regarding some of the reviews, surely people realise that they are 50+ year old airstreamers and on a CBD rooftop, the windows etc can't be immaculate but it adds to the charm The rooftop had fun games that my daughter loved and the breakfast box from downstairs was absolutely amazing. I honestly can't rave about our experience enough and my daughter has begged for us to stay again, but next time to upgrade to the airstreamer with benefits. Thanks for giving us the most magical, unique Melbourne experience. Don't be fooled by Hotel No, it's not a hotel, it's actually more special! So many extras included for a great price!

The instructions for keys and car retrieval was not very clear and we got very frustrated. A key box at the top of the stairs , a key box in the car park. A little testy .

Coolest staycation one can do in Melbourne. What an idea putting airstreams on a roof top. Top ?? The whole experience is fun. How to get in, free parking, free mini bar, the set up of the area, decoration and the shower. Yes what a great shower. Many hotels don’t have such good shower. Absolute worth doing it. We loved every second.

I have read so many reviews on this experience and I was shocked to see so many negative! We booked online as is the only way to book and then I called the next day to see if it was ok for 2 cars to park….not a problem at all…midweek no charge! Hotel No make it quite clear this is an experience, it’s about discovery and it was soooo much just working out how to get in! Once we stepped out to the vans it was clean, fun and quite private even though the communal area is in the middle, we only saw 2 other guests and I believe they were sold out! Inside our airstream I was again blown away it was spotlessly clean, airy and much bigger than I thought. The little things…mini bar that you can add to….the size of the bathroom and the shower…..it was heaven! This is not for anyone wanting a 5 star hotel but for people who want an experience and something a bit different…highly recommended.
