we were pretty happy with our assigned room, except that we had to walk 3 flights of stairs to get to it. There was no kettle but we were given one when we requested. No table, so we had to place the kettle on the floor to boil our water.
Though not marketed as an AIRBNB, it operates like one, though there must be at least a dozen rooms in this building. There's no reception desk! When we arrived, we walked thru an open door and waited some minutes inside a "waiting area" before someone appeared to hand the keys to us. When he left we were left wondering how we would ask for help if we needed it - there's no phone in our room, or anywhere in the building! Thankfully, the few times we wanted help, someone miraculously showed up!!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’h?tel Osumi à Berat. Les h?tes étaient extrêmement aimables, accueillants et toujours prêts à aider. Tout était parfaitement propre et bien entretenu. La chambre était très confortable et décorée avec go?t, dans un style authentique qui reflète parfaitement le charme de Berat. Nous recommandons vivement cet h?tel pour un séjour agréable et chaleureux.

Es ist ein kleines, famili?r geführtes Hotel zentral in Berat gelegen. Alles Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Innenstadt mit der sch?nen Fu?g?ngerzone kann man bequem zu Fu? erkunden. Leider gibt es keinen Parkplatz vor dem Haus, aber der Inhaber ist so freundlich und parkt das Fahrzeug auf einem etwas entfernt gelegenen Parkplatz und holt es auch wieder. Die Zimmer mit Bad sind sauber und funktionell eingerichtet. Das Frühstück von der Frau des Inhabers ist frisch und super gut zubereitet. Die Inhaber sprechen Englisch und sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns hat hier sehr gut gefallen.

Nous y avons passé une nuit, tout était propre, la chambre était climatisée, les lits sont très confortable, le petit déjeuné copieux, la situation géographique parfaite, les gérants très sympathique. Je recommande les yeux fermés Merci encore

This is an excellently located guesthouse right in the heart of old town. A short walk to the castle (big hill climb), a short walk to lots of lovely restaurants and bars. The accommodation is basic, but perfectly comfortable and safe. The owner was extremely helpful and parked our hire car for us. The breakfast was also excellent. I would highly recommend staying if you want an authentic guesthouse at a very good price.

This boutique hotel in the old quarter of Berat was very conveniently located close to the main thoroughfare, the ancient center, and directly below the castle mount. Step out of the door and enjoy getting lost in the maze of old cobblestone streets that wind their way up the mountain side to the castle. Lots of good restaurants close by and a great view of the old quarter on the other side of the river if you have the right room. The rooms were well appointed, very clean, with functioning air conditioning, and a great shower. They have done a beautiful job of refurbishing the old wood and stone to make it very charming. The owner was always very helpful, helping caring bags, offering great tips on restaurants and things to do. We had a very solid, fresh breakfast with eggs, breads, fruit, and hot petull (an Albanian staple). Two thumbs up.

Very nice place. Room was beautiful and the bed had a great firm mattress. Very conveniently located in the city center, you can walk everywhere. Small stores and Cafés just around the corner. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good, only the coffee was cold when it came to the table :D

Das Hotel liegt optimal am Fu? des Burgbergs und nahe des Flusses, mitten zwischen den touristischen Attraktionen. - Kostenloser Parkplatz vor der Tür auf dem breiten Bürgersteig. - Freundlicher Empfang, Englisch des Besitzers passabel, Besitzerin spricht besser. - Zimmer recht gro?, Boden sch?n mit Holzdielen und Kelims , W?nde in Fachwerk. Bad eher klein aber funktionell und sauber. - Gutes Frühstück mit Omelette , Früchten, Tomaten Schafsk?se etc.

In the style of the old town. A spiritual place! Wooden furniture. Original paintings by the host's family. We arrived at midnight, but the host was waiting for us and gave us valuable directions for the journey afterwards. Very kind and helpful hosts!

Exceptional! Friendly and accommodating host with comfortable and clean room in a lovely traditional building Nothing was a problem. Breakfast was lovely and the location was central to everything in Berat. There are two Hotel Osumi’ in Berat and we stayed at the one closest to the river. I would also recommend Friendly House restaurant which is very close by for traditional Albanian food at a good price ?? then walk it off by going up the hill to the castle. Also rafting at Osumi Canyon with Albrafting is a must ??
