Our focus was on the skiing and we had a great time. The hotel is in a quiet location and so is not for those looking for busy apres. It’s easily a 25/30 min walk into Corvara and a taxi is €25 each way. The decor at the hotel could do with updating but the staff were lovely and the food was fantastic - plentiful and tasty. I have taken off one point for 2 key things - one practical and one a preference. From a practical point of view the ski locker room and the walk to the slope is impractical as you have to walk 3/4 of the way around the building to the slope - the hotel could make this a lot shorter with just a little bit of effort. The preference - the bed mattresses were so soft and i prefer a medium / hard bed and so not great for me.

This hotel has lots of strengths: - location, location, location as it is a few meters away from the Pralongia skichair. - our room was sizeable, certainly so by ski hotel standards as some we stayed in tended to be exaggeratedly efficient with the space. - food: truly excellent, something for every taste if you like meat or fish. I wouldn't be so sure about vegetarian, I didn't see any choices on the menu other than the salad bar that's offered with dinner. - modern and clean bathroom, hot water, room temperature, all working. - past reviews have complained about the quality of the broadband. In January 2026, we streamed every day with no loss of quality, even between 6 and 7pm when everyone is in the room surfing. Very solid broadband.

Hotel Planac, spent a week here at the end of Feb 2025, great memories made, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is very good for skiing, there is a lift right outside door and you can ski to the ski room door. (Don't come over the bridge too fast, they grit the road there some days) The ski boot warmers are a good design. Water pressure in shower is strong, and it was nice to have a hot bath each day. Food choice was good for breakfast and dinner. I would recommend and i would come back.

Ho trascorso quattro giorni all’insegna dell’allegria e dello stare insieme in questa bella struttura. Certo, le camere avrebbero bisogno di una bella rinfrescata, ma i servizi sono ottimi. Inutile nasconderlo… la posizione direttamente sulle piste e’ il top. Il personale è gentilissimo, molto cortese e simpatico. Cito in particolare Romeo ed Helena. La cucina è di buon livello. Insomma… una bella vacanza.

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff and excellent food and service. Ski in and out via close chairlift. A long blue run into Corvara for classes and main lifts. Good family resort with lots of blue runs. On the Sellarond with links to other areas.

Hotel Planac was the perfect venue for our annual ‘Old Boys’ ski trip. The location of the hotel is a few miles out of Covara, so it wasn’t convenient for the nighttime attractions of the town, but that was of no concern to us as our days of partying until dawn have long gone. Instead, we were presented with a very clean and friendly base with a good bar and restaurant. The hotel is traditional build, with a lot of wood panelling, and had a very cozy buzz about it. The staff were all excellent and obviously experienced. Food was unfussy and plentifully, both at breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is a buffet of anything you could possibly want, both hot and cold, including British staples like bacon & egg. Dinner always started with a superb salad bar followed by three pre-ordered courses, with a change every night. Wine and other drinks were very reasonably priced. The wellness area was scrupulously clean, consisting of a Sauna and whirlpool, together with a relaxation area. The real gem of this hotel for a skier is its location. Each night we would Ski back directly to the boot room via a choice of gentle blue runs. Access to the slopes is via one of two lifts right in front of the hotel. Chair 15 (Pralongia) take you directly into the Alta Badia area and drops you out on a gentle blue, whilst Drag Lift 17 (Crep De Munt) drops you directly onto the Sella Ronda circuit. Ether lift give quick access to Corvara village centre. I have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Planac

Just got back from staying at The Planac for a week booked with Crystal and had a standard double room which was perfectly adequate for two of us absolutely spotless cleaned every day with clean towels every day too the food was superb with a salad buffet to die for before the first course and second course then desert! The staff were amazing Valentin,Dimitri and Nellie couldn’t do enough for you and with Claudio in the kitchen you couldn’t ask for more -Zolt managed everything superbly. The hotels location is the biggest plus right outside the mid station pralongia chair so ski in and ski out. The ski area is vast with amazing snow making and well groomed pistes. The hotel bar is cosy but quiet so perfect for winding down after a days skiing. The sunny terrace is also a bonus as is the hot tub/steam room and sauna . As Crystal only offer standard rooms within their pricing you can ask for upgrades to either comfort or deluxe rooms which are both so much bigger for an additional cost. We personally were more than happy with our standard room. Overall our group had a fantastic week and have already booked for next year!

Abbiamo trascorso 5 notti in questa struttura, forse un po' datata, ma con il pregio di uscire con gli sci dall'albergo. Cibo ottimo, buffet fornitissimo e variato ogni sera. Personale gentilissimo, non me ne vogliano gli altri, in particolare Nelly, sempre presente ed attenta, ed il cuoco Claudio, straordinario!!!

we hadden een standaard kamer voor 3 volwassenen. Deze bleek veel te klein. eveneens was het derde bed niet voorzien voor een volwassene ( was eigenlijk een kleine zetel). Eveneens was de kamer verouderd. Het ontbijt was OK. S'avonds kon je kiezen uit twee voorgerechten en twee hoofdgerechten. De voorgerechten waren altijd lekker. Het hoofdgerecht was inspiratieloos. Stuk vlees, groenten en aardappelen ( of variatie hierop ) op het bord gekieperd. Heel gewoontjes. In andere 3 sterren hotels heb ik toch al andere dingen gegeten. Het hotel ligt wel aan een lift. Je bent dadelijk op de piste. het gebied is ook gelegen aan de rustige kant van de Sella Ronda.

Great location for a ski holiday if you have little interest in apres ski. Ski in and out next to chairlift. Comfortable rooms, very clean and pleasant environment. Where this hotel really shines is in the friendliness of the staff and great food. Lots of choice of breakfast foods and the salad buffet at dinner was something to behold. Many thanks to all for a great week.
