Niet helemaal aan verwachtingen voldaan ondanks vriendelijke tweetalige receptionisten, persoonlijke begroeting in kamer via naam op tv-scherm en twee pralines, heerlijke geurende producten in de badkamer en het heerlijke uitgebreide ontbijt met prosecco maar er waren toch een aantal tekortkomingen die we niet zouden verwachten bij een 5* hotel. -kamers zouden vanaf 15u gereed zijn, we moesten meer dan een half uur wachten terwijl we een reservatie voor de wellness hadden -de wellness is weggestoken en je moet in kamerjas doorheen de lobby om er te geraken -ipv een douchegel hadden we 2 conditioners op de kamer -op de lakens waren er vet vlekken, ze waren wel proper maar toch, dit verwacht je niet… (zie foto) Slordigheden die je bij dergelijk hotel toch niet verwacht want je betaalt uiteraard wel voor perfectie.

En final une déception, la réception est très belle mais les chambres et les couloirs ne valent pas un 5*. Le personnel est gentil et serviable, très bon service de voiturier..heureusement car il n y a pas assez de places au parking. Le petit déjeuner est excellent mais malheureusement très très bruyant...certaines personnes se devant de parler assez fort pour essayer de se faire remarquer

De ontvangst is zeer vriendelijk en zeer professioneel. Onmiddellijk ervaar je rust en een relaxte sfeer bij het binnenkomen. De kamer was zeer luxueus ingericht met een boxspring en fantastische kussens. De douche was uitgerust met een goudkleurige douchekop en verzorgingsproducten van het merk Nathalie. Ook de champagne (tegen betaling) ontbrak niet. De wellness is tevens de moeite waard; niet erg groot maar gezien het op afspraak is, is het er niet druk. De jacuzzi buiten is een aanrader. Het ontbijt is zeer, zeer uitgebreid met dagverse en gezonde producten. Teveel om op te noemen. Uiteraard ook zeer lekker.

Het is een mooi hotel in zijn prijsklasse, alleen het ontbijt op zondag is echt ondermaats. Voor een 5sterrenhotel verwacht ik echt dat alles top is, wat niet het geval was. Je zit als het ware in een kantine die helemaal vol zit (het hotel was uitverkocht), allemaal heel dicht op elkaar. De tafels staan werkelijk 30 centimeter uit elkaar. Het was daar een drukte van belang, constant mensen die kriskras door mekaar liepen en lange wachttijden aan het buffet, zowel voor een koffie te bestellen, als een eitje te bestellen, of zelf een sapje klaar te maken. Bovendien is niet alles van topkwaliteit wat er wordt aangeboden. Een aantal dingen zijn zeer goed zoals de honing af te schrapen van de honinggraat en de kazen. Maar de eitjes in alle vormen zijn maar matig, ook de koffiekoeken zijn niet fantastisch alsook het beleg en de yoghurt en de granola. Dit is uiteraard zeer persoonlijk maar ik had misschien liever een kleiner serener buffet gehad met een aantal topproducten. Voor ons blijft het bij 1 keer.

The Hotel Sanglier is located in the quaint tiny city of Durbuy. The hotel has a stylish decor and good restaurants. We didn’t use the spa or have breakfast, but maybe we’ll be back. Note that Durbuy has restrictive parking, so plan ahead. Also, given its diminutive size, I imagine it could be very busy in peak season.

Very nice rooms. Friendly and efficient service. Several restaurants to choose from with impressive wine cave. Spa and fitness center. Parking outside. One drawback : no thub in badroom. For the rest : great place.

We liked almost everything: comfort, service, location. We had the best breakfast in Belgium. Everything was amazing. When the breakfast would be included into hotel price, we would come back next year. But definitely we will come back to Resto Brusserie. That was the top of our this time visit. When there will be an option to come only for the breakfast, we will come!

Location is excellent for walking around the town. Parking is easy, with immediate access to valet parking. The hotel and the rooms are modern and well equipped with access to three restaurants. The staff are professional but not empathetic. Upon checking in, I was told dinner reservations were not possible and to use room service. When I got to my room, there was no room service menu. An excellent hotel would've found me a reservation when I asked for it, not when I complained. What I DO like is the staff DO follow up on problems like this. A few minutes later, I received a call they had found me a space in one of the restaurants. As far as the room is concerned, we booked a Premium Double Room with shower and, upon checking in were in an attic room that seemed considerably smaller and had no shower, only a bath. When we queried this, we were told the room was "as booked". My mistake, Breakfast is outstanding, with a huge selection, great quality and service, for 30 Euros pp. Check-out was inefficient and slow, resulting in long queues. Overall, less than we expected for 450 Euros, excluding parking and dinner.

We had not previously heard of Dubuy until suggested to us by our agent. He described it as a must visit and he was correct. Lovely town, was once the smallest in Belgium. He booked us into the Hotel Sanglier. Great sized rooms. Very efficient and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

NICE LOCATION IN THE CENTRE OF DURBUY BUT WE EXPECTED MORE FROM A 5 STAR HOTEL.... THE ROOM WAS SMALL AND THE WINDOW COULD NOT BE OPENED BECAUSE OF THE NOISE OF THE AIRCO BREAKFAST WAS OK BUT ALSO TOO EXPENSIVE
