Just come back and already thing about my next vocation in Scherling hotel. This was my second time in this hotel. As a previous one, I enjoyed from everything. The staff, the atmosphere, the clearness, the spa , the inside and outside pool, free parking place and many others. Each room has wonderful balcony where you can sit, enjoying sunrise, read the book or having just beer. The breakfast was reach and tasty, just couldn’t be better. The guests of the hotel have an option to book dinner in advance. as we did and it was perfect with a wonderful cousin. The quality of sleep was really good . Stable and fast Wi Fi. Although the hotel satiated not in the center of Ortisei, there is a wonderful network of public buses in the region , which is very convenient and you can reach each destination in South Tirol without any headache , using guest card , free of charge.

Our family with kids 11 and 14 y stayed at Scherlin 5 nights halfboard in June 2025 in the family room. We loved the views over the Ortisei valley with evening sun, and the pools. The only negative was the lack of AC, or even a fan, as it was over 30 degrees Celsius. Some nuisance also being denied an extra bottle of soap for the tub, as the owner was firm about only providing two bottles fixed to the wall, despite us having three sinks, a tub and a shower. The cleaning lady then gave me an extra bottle without issues.?? The dinner at 7 PM was usually good and varied, but pretty simple. You chose your primi , secondi and dessert each morning. There was always a buffet with a wide selection of antipasti. Breakfast was good, except the juices which were mixtures, not fresh. You could even order a portion of eggs according to your taste. The indoor pool was open from early morning until 11PM, the outdoor pool closed at 7PM. There was even a jacuzzi outside and a separate small timbered house with a wood fired sauna. They heated it too much though (+100 Celsius), so it was nicer to use it late in the evening when it had cooled a bit. The indoor saunas were not in use, except for the steam room. Other activities were 2 x table tennis outside and a small playground for small kids. It was convenient to take the bus (get your free Gardenia pass ticket from the hotel) outside the hotel to Ortisei, Castelrotto or Siusi for the cable cars, and avoid the cost and hazzle of parking. Note that the Siusi cable car is cheaper than Ortisei. There is no day pass that includes both lifts unfortunately. For Alpe di Siusi we liked taking single tickets with cable car up from Ortisei, walk across the meadows and descend by cable car to Siusi. I highly recommend Scherlin and this part of the Dolomites!

A perfect hotel for our needs. Large room with great view. Food excellent throughout and the lawn / pool area is great for some sun - the wood fired sauna was an experience?? Run by a very hard working family and can't wait to return
