Hotel is far from Old Town but the amazing public transportation system makes it easy to go back and forth. Rooms are very spacious! It looks like it is a fairly new building. Restroom was clean and well-lit. Mini fridge is spacious and microwave works great! One thing that was a bit disappointing was that when I checked in, the receptionist seems bothered, he was very quiet and not welcoming at all. Overall I really liked this hotel.
Rooms are good. We had a small sink, mini fridge, microwave and a gew dishes. Nothing wrong with the rooms. We did not rake part of the breakfast option. We did use the parking garage. However its very small, like 6 spaces small. Street parking can be a pain depending on the time of day or if its a weekend. We took the train a lot about 20 mins and you are downtown. Overall a good stay.
I stayed at Hotel Valcha for 9 nights and honestly had a great experience from start to finish. The room was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet, which made it perfect for resting after long days out. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always smiling — nothing ever felt like too much trouble for them. The location is also really convenient, with shops and transport nearby, but still away from the noise so you get a peaceful stay. Housekeeping kept everything spotless throughout my time there, and the whole place feels well looked after. Overall, I’m really happy I chose Hotel Valcha. It’s a cosy, welcoming hotel where you feel genuinely looked after. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
The room was fresh and modern, with fridge & microwave. The bathroom was quite nice, though a bit cramped. The free WiFi was problem free. There is a tram stop down the street, as well as a friendly and excellent bakery and a tiny bare bones restaurant with four meal selections (good, simple food though!). This is a blue collar neighborhood, no flashy corporate businesses.
Hotel staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Would definitely stay there again, as long as it is when temps are mild, as there is heat but no a/c (the window opens, and has adjustable blinds.
The hotel is just outside of the llesser town area but walkable. However the every 10 minutes running of the 22 tram will take you to every thing you need to see eat or do.
The hotel is new and functional with good English spoken at the front desk. The TV was no use but who goes to Prague to watch TV.
