So this is our second stay at VDO. First time was seven years ago, and we loved it. This time was a little different. Roger, the owner, his family and staff went WAY above and beyond for us and I assume all of the other guests. The hosts and staff are the most gracious, generous, and helpful people you will ever meet. I’m not going to go into specifics, but Roger and his staff just make what ever you need, happen. Just ask. We stayed in villa 3, and it was lovely, with a fantastic view of the jungle and ocean. Santa Teresa has grown a lot, and there are some wonderful restaurants. I mean really good. Giacomo the chef at VDO who is Italian, well, anything he makes it’s good. Really good. Mikey has his new boat running, so any fish dinner you get will be FRESH! Did we mention that the views and sun sets are incredible? DM us for more info if you want pics. We will be back again after Easter!

We had an incredible stay at Vista de Olas in Mal Pais, which offers stunning views of the Pacific coastline. We were welcomed with warm hospitality by Roger, the owner, and his friendly staff. Roger made it a point to check in with us daily, ensuring that we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The infinity pool was undoubtedly a highlight of our stay. The views from the pool were breathtaking, especially during sunset. We loved relaxing there in the evenings. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly approach, primarily powered by solar energy.Overall, we had a fantastic stay at this eco-friendly hotel. The combination of stunning views, excellent service, and a commitment to sustainability made it a memorable experience.

Today I brought my mom and her friends here to enjoy the pool for sunset as well as some food and drinks. The view is undeniably stunning and one of the best spots for sunset in town. Ronaldo and the rest of the staff worked so hard and were so kind while accommodating everyones needs. We really appreciate their hospitality and excellent service. I would definitely come back.

Solo para ir en pareja. O a mirar el sunset desde la psicina. La calle de acceso esta en muy mal estado. Estas lejos de centro comercial y/o restaurantes. No hay wifi ni tv en las habitaciones. Las habitaciones tienen ventanas al mar, pero no miras el Mar desde la cama. El desayuno es pésimo. El hotel a las 8pm ya esta cerrado y oscuro, si necesitas algo después de esta hora estas solo en el medio de la selva literalmente. Si o si es necesario un vehículo, aunque no es fácil conducir en esas calles empinadas con pozos enormes y embarrados por la lluvia. También puedes gastar 20 dolares de ida y 20 de vuelta a cualquier lado si quieres salir. Por lo general los taxis son amables.

We have been staying with Vista De Olas for years and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else! Every room (bungalow) we’ve stayed in has amazing views of the tropical surroundings and/or the beautiful ocean. Complimentary breakfast is served every morning and is fresh & local. We are so close to everything we need and are also content staying poolside all day with amazing views and delicious food. Bartenders (and much more) Erland and Allison always make us feel at home.
