Bijzonder hartelijk ontvangst door de gastvrouw. Ze gaf aan ook voor het diner te willen zorgen waar we dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt hebben. Meneer zorgde voor de bediening. We aten lekker in de tuin. Het ontbijt, buffetje, hebben we op het dakterras genuttigd. De kamer voldeed aan de eisen.

The service was fantastic. We arrived late, the owners were most understanding. The rooms were clean and look just as they do in the photos. Loved the Albanian pancakes for breakfast. Will be returning again.

My absolute favourite stay during our Albania road trip. Everything about the house, rooms and communal areas have been so well thought through and everywhere is adorned by plants making it very homely. Merita and Emerim are perfect hosts, providing excellent meals, cooked by Merita, often with produce from their garden and being on hand when needed whilst leaving us to wander in and out as we pleased. When my partner asked to borrow a bucket to clean our car, Emerim not only provided a bucket with a spray attachment, he helped clean the car! We had our own private balcony with our room and access to the fantastic terrace area at the top of the house, complete with seating, tables, lots of plants and views to die for. A perfect stay!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. Its kind of a traditional house with modern and beautiful rooms with private bathroom. Ours had a balcony as well. You can have lunch and dinner provided by the host (in the upper terrace). I tried some local places for food and I have to say the food in the House 1960 was better. The chicken fillet was amazing, better than almost any that I had. Feelt natural. The food is local. The desserts are good (chocolate cake and baklava). They gave us a free salad and had as a nice gesture when they listened to us talking about fruit, they gave us some really good watermelon. The schedule to have food is relatively liberal. The host cooks, so you can tell her the hour you prefere. I came with a friend but there were couples and it's really nice for a romantic getaway. More info: There is a parking alley also with capacity for like 4 or 5 cars. Location: You are 30 minutes of Pogradec and a but more from the border crossing to Macedonia to visit the Saint Naum monastry and (inside) a beautiful bathing spot in the lake. I recommend it. You can go by taxi to the border / walk 30 minutes to the monastry or go by rented car a bit faster (you pay in the very border for a green car for the car: 15 euros).

Our first time to Albania, we chose to stay in Lin an old mountain village on the bank of lake Ohrid. The village is tiny and undeveloped so it's very inexpensive and has lovely Albanian food and restaurants on the lake. We had read good reviews about House 1960 and we were so glad we had the opportunity to stay there. The owners are truly warm and welcoming and couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is mountain home/ swiss cabin/ purpose built hotel. It has four rooms for guests and several charming places to sit on the terrace or balcony. It's very clean and is the perfect balance of traditional Albanian and contemporary guest house. It's cosy and inviting whilst feeling spacious. The beds are large enough for tall people and the bathrooms are up to date. The food is home cooked and tasty and healthy. The owners are laid back and managed enough English to communicate most things. My tea didn't taste anything like normal tea but maybe that's what Albanian tea tastes like. Overall it is a great place to stay if you want calm, friendly, clean with nice food and heaps of charm for a couple of days.

From the outside, it is just another house in beautiful Lin village. Once you enter, you immediately feel the difference. The place was renovated and decorated by a talented interior designer, it is very modern with great ambiance. The rooms are comfortable, airy, homey and super clean. The owners will do everything to make your stay enjoyable - bringing you fruits and tea. The view from the veranda is great and it is a perfect place for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay in this interesting and picture perfect village.

Ambiente familiare pulito.Le camere spaziose pulite con vista lago. Posto tranquillo dove trascorrere giorni di totale relax e spensieratezza.
