Inraki lodge is a beautiful peaceful setting a world away from Quito. If you are making your own way I have 2 tips. One give them an approximate time of arrival so someone will be there to meet you and 2 when you arrive at the main gate don’t let your taxi go as I did, its approximately 1.5km from the gate to the lodge! At the gate there is a security man on the right, he’s the person to deal with, don’t go to the left hand side where the Inraki sign is. I had the double room lodge. It’s very rustic, quite small inside with room for 2 single beds and a small desk. The bathroom is a reasonable size and there was both good pressure and plenty of hot water in the shower. There is a small verandah for sitting outside. The curtains are thin and don’t really stop the daylight. I would have appreciated a kettle or coffee maker to make a hot beverage but there isn’t one. The setting in a wood is beautiful and it’s incredibly quiet. The short walk around their land is pretty and well signposted. A taxi into Guayllabamba (the nearest town) is only $2 and there you will find a Tia supermarket and several restaurants. I can recommend La Casa Vieja at the square. Overall I would happily use again.
