Izu's place is truly a unique and amazing place. Jaco is a great beach town with a lot of activities nearby. The rooms were clean, air conditioned, and very reasonably priced. The food was great. Sabress Restaurant offers a nice variety of food. Breakfast has to be ordered the night before but it is totally worth it. Shabbat in Jaco is wonderful. I recommend staying at Izu's as long as you can.

Our stay at Izu's Place was Amazing! The room was nice and the restaurant was excellent. The best part was the vibes!! It felt like a homey little family in the few days we were there. Izu and his family are amazing and it was clear they are loved by all. At night a lot of the guests were chilling together in the common area and we all got to know each other. I highly recommend staying here, specifically if your one who likes meeting and getting to know new people. I would for sure go back when I get the chance!

We loved the room we were in. It is nicer than pictured. The AC worked great and was silent. The food for Shabbat was delicious. The vibe was laid back and inviting. The pool and courtyard were lovely. Location quiet despite proximity to center of town. Beach was close too.

Highly reccomend! The house was beautiful. The restaurant on site has amazing food and the Shabbat catering was beyond generous! The hosts helped us book all our trips and were there to help with anything we needed. Such a pleasant and enjoyable experience!!

What a fantastic way to get an introduction to Costa Rica. Izu, Tony and their entire team were so helpful and friendly to assist us with their knowledge of local and country wide tours, excursions and services. The “house” , 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath we had for the month (Feb 24) fit our needs beautifully. We had our own outdoor patio with shade, use of the pool in a secure environment real close to the centre of Jaco. The AC worked wonderfully (very important) and any issues or questions about the facilities were delt with immediately. The cleaning staff were awesome and efficient with our time. They even have their own driver for airport pick up and return, who by the way saved our touring plans when our booking of a rental car went bust “no cars available in all of Jaco”….. booked 10 days in advance? Jose’ the #1 driver, gave us a guided tour to Grecia in the Central Valley to visit friends, have lunch then drive us back. The next day we had plans to visit Manuel Antonio park which, he drove us to and a tour of the sites between points. This guy drove cautious and curtious and was always on time, he even let me go with him to bring my wife to the airport for her early departure. Our group of 4 all enjoyed our first Costa Rica visit at Izu’s Place, and would highly recommend it. Brad Rabideau

The food was good although not much variety. There was no meat Friday night. The rooms were hit or miss - the villa was nice, but some of the individual rooms were abysmal-- Toilet didn't work, shower didn't work, mold in the bathroom, abhorrent conditions. Thankfully our complaints got us moved to another room but for only $10 more per night you can go down a few blocks and get beautiful rooms at the Oceano. Note that there are no pictures of the bathrooms.

We did not stay at Izu's place but we did everything else there during a recent trip to Costa Rica with our extended family for my father in law's 75th biorthday. Toni, who runs the hotel's restaurant Sabress, and coordinates all activities one would want in Costa rica, was incredible to work with. From the first whats app I sent her back in October, we have been texting back and forth as she helped me plan activities for a group of 22 travelers, with kids of all ages. She knew all the best to recommend, she booked them all. she helped me with the logisitcs of timing and transportation and overall she made the trip a huge success. She also supplied us with delicious Moroccan and Israeli kosher food for our stay. Those in our party who were open to eating from the local resort ended up coming and eating our food from Sabress because it was so good. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant itself and then multiple evenings of bringing food in. It was plentiful and might have been the best hummus and babaganoush i've ever had. If you look at all of this, you would never guess that Toni is married to Izu, an incredible surfer and surf teacher. He worked with all of our kids and even gave the adults a lesson one beautiful afternoon as the sun was going down. Surfing, adventure (kayak, waterfall hiking, atv, croccodile tour, delicious food, I recommend anyone who goes to Jaco get in touch with Toni to plan your trip, and make sure to hit the waves as the sun sets with Izu.

Our stay in Jaco was so wonderful! The food here was delicious with HUGE portions!!! We ate like kings! It was so wonderful to have such an amazing kosher option while on vacation! Toni was also incredibly helpful with my nonstop questions regarding the planning process leading up to our trip! Our family of five (two adults, two teens and one child) had an amazing first time surf lesson with Izu, Assaf and Roy—they were so patient and professional and we all did so well under their instruction!! Five stars all around!

Idyllic tropical oasis in the middle of a bustling beach town, Izu’s Place is a 5-minute walk from the Pacific Ocean and Jaco beach. My multi-generational family stayed for a week and enjoyed every moment. The food at Sabress and over Shabbat was amazing! Izu and the staff were friendly and accommodating; they even brought in extra shelving for our belongings. Toni helped us arrange all of our activities and transportation; her recommendations were excellent and even the pickiest among us was happy. We look forward to going back!

Hotel was modest, but spotless and comfortable. Great location and close to shopping and the beach. Attached to the hotel is an excellent kosher Mediterranean type restaurant that we never tired of utilizing. The owners even helped with booking excursions.
