Great choice of places for a number of reasons. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was cooked to order and very good and the distance to town was a pleasant 10-15 minute walk. No parking issues and owners were nice and made sure everything was going well. Price was very reasonable when you book direct and worth doing. Would stay again

My husband and I stayed here as part of our Kerry Way adventure. The trail goes right past the lodge, so it's very convenient for walkers. Proprietors were friendly and had a shoe/boot drying room which worked well for dirty wet hiking footwear. Rooms and beds were comfortable. We spent no time there except to sleep so it was certainly adequate, but rooms are not as pretty or modern or brightly lit as most of those we found in Ireland. Breakfast was excellent. The house is a fairly good walk from the town center, and after walking all day, just going to get dinner was enough. Kenmare is a busy town and lots to do there, if you have more time to spend.

What an amazing place. Our room and facilities were definitely 5 Star quality. And the breakfast before we set off on our hike on the last section of the Kerry Way included beautiful top quality substantial food that set us up for the day. The owners are really friendly and helpful and obviously love and work hard at what they do.

Dated decor in our guest room. But cozy and very clean. Provided bath toiletries. Also the host provides lovely service. It is in a great location. Walkable to downtown Kenmare. The breakfast was very good and offered a lot of variety. Plenty of parking.

This was a great spot on the Ring of Kerry for use to use and explore from for a couple of days. Fionnuala & Danny were excellent hosts and very helpful to us in giving recommendations for Kenmare and the surrounding area. Room was spacious and clean, breakfast was great. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay in Kenmare or the Kenmare area.

Hmmmm...I'm confused as I am reading the glowing reviews for this place and I think to myself, "Is this the same B&B I stayed at??" Our room was furnished like an army barracks. There was no bottled water in the room. No coffee or tea to make in the room and no kettle for hot water. All of the other B&B's we stayed at in Ireland had these features as well as a refrigerator in the common area for guest use. If I wanted coffee before breakfast I had to walk to the Circle K about 7 minutes away. The town of Kenmare is quite lovely, but is a solid 18-20 minute walk from the B&B and we found cab or Uber service unavailable--we tried repeatedly. The B&B is located on the main highway going into Kenmare and our room was on the front side of the building and was VERY noisy from street traffic. The windows had to stay open if you wanted the room to be cool at night. The breakfast was quite good and the dining room was cheery and bright--the only thing cheery and bright about this place. The sitting room was dark, dingy and uninviting. Our hostess was cordial but cool and aloof. I asked for 2 extra pillows for my room and that request was ignored. It was as if there was some bad energy in the place that you couldn't quite put your finger on. I have instructed the group that put together our hike and bike tour to avoid booking their clients there if at all possible.

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend staying here at Kenmare House. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. The owners very kind and accommodating. The breakfast… delicious. The day was a struggle for us with bad cold rainy weather and could not find any hotels or BBs with vacancy’s. When we stopped to ask the owner who was outside, if he had some rooms available he quickly and kindly took us in, set us up with a very affordable cozy room. The full delicious breakfast was included in the rate. Go and check it out! You will be pleased ??

This B&B was a great find after traveling all day and stumbled across. Very reasonable, comfortable and inviting and also included a wonderful breakfast! The owner was very nice and informative how to stroll to the city center and which route to drive when leaving.

Danny & Fionnuala have a great family B & B here. Stayed 2 nights, comfy beds good bathroom. excellent breakfasts, 2 guest lounges 1 acts as breakfast room too which is a beautiful room. Danny has some hand drawn maps very helpful man. Also quite humourous!!! 100% recommendation
