Very quiet apartments. It’s about a 200-meter walk from Koukounaries Studios to the main street of Skala. On the main street, there are souvenir shops, restaurants, and bars. Then you reach the beach, which has sunbeds and umbrellas. The apartment has standard furniture. Kefalonia is a popular vacation destination for people from Great Britain. However, I found the prices in Skala to be very reasonable.

Sophia and her husband are great hosts and the studios are cleaned to an exceptional standard and are very well equipped with free air con, hairdryer, fully fitted out kitchenette with a toaster. Very high standards for skala. Although! We did find the beds a little hard. The view we had was stunning over hills of skala and the sea. The walk up the hill was great for us as the studios are set up the top of the high street over the junction and carry on straight up the hill towards skala football pitch. But! May be a problem for less able bodied people as the steepness of the hill. It’s a killer in the heat even at night. Beautiful spot and would definitely go back.

Situated at the top of Skala main street on the way to the old village in the hills, this place is a gem. Accommodation basic but spotless and kept so by Sofia who is on hand to deal with any issues. Rooms facing into the garden are best positioned for peace an quiet and a lovely view over the trees with a peek of the sea. Good internet access too. 5 mins walk to the bars and restaurants down the main street. Will definitely return.
