I have stayed at La Maison Jules twice, March '24 and March '23. I don't typically stay in a place twice as I like to see what is on offer but I have to say that I often dream of La Maison Jules. It is a lovely chambre d'hote and host Alexandra is very welcoming. The rooms are beautiful, the house is exquisitely decorated and I feel pampered staying there ( huge rooms and comfy beds! ). The breakfast is ample, delicious and artisanal. The guests met around the table were charming and I have had some great conversations with Alexandra as well. La Maison Jules is perfectly situated in the beautiful city of Tours. Close to the train station and all the sites but very quiet and private. Merci Alexandra! I hope to be back again soon!

Le sourire, la gentillesse, le soin apporté à chaque demande, font de cette Maison d'h?tes de charme, à la décoration soignée et harmonieuse, un havre de paix, un espace privilégié où le temps d'un séjour, on se sent enveloppé de toute la sérénité de cette belle demeure. Idéalement située au centre de Tours avec toutes commodités à quelques pas, donnent à cette adresse l'évidence d'y résider en toute simplicité et sécurité. My husband and I ended our trip to Paris and the Loire Valley with one night at Alex’s place — La Maison Jules. The beautifully remodeled home was just stunning! It had the charm of an ~1800 home, with all the modern conveniences. It was stylish, functional and comfortable. Alex was a terrific host. She bent over backwards to try to help us with a train issue, she made us dinner reservations at a local restaurant (Les Canilles) that was our best meal (esp the dessert) in our 10 night trip, and she made a lovely breakfast - shared over conversation with a few other guests. La Maison Jules is a gem. I would highly recommend staying there!

We stayed in Tours as a base at Maison La Jules for 6 nights. The home is beautiful and our room was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was good. Our host Alexandra was just wonderful….such a perfectionist. She made our stay a wonderful experience and we thank her very much. She kindly arranged dinners for us at some local non tourist places which were excellent. We felt she had been our lives for a long time. Thank you Alexandra.

Un cadre raffiné et luxueux dans une belle demeure décorée avec beaucoup de go?t, Un accueil chaleureux et amical, Font de cet étape un endroit où l'on aimerait rester et, à défaut, revenir le plus souvent possible.

This is such a lovely bed and breakfast. Alex could not be more charming. We stayed here for a couple of nights with our daughter (not nearly long enough!) and are already planning our next trip back. The accommodations are super clean and comfortable. We had a room on the second floor (first floor in French vernacular) and our daughter was on the third. Both rooms were decorated so beautifully as was the rest of the house. Alex met us each morning with a French breakfast and a smile! The visit was the highlight of our two week stay in France!

We just got back from a lovely 3n stay at this beautiful home. It was a short walk from the train station, and was very elegant, with a massive outer wooden door, and an inner courtyard. Our room was gorgeous- huge with separate, also huge, bathroom! We just loved everything about our stay- delicious breakfast, conversations and help from Alexandra. Thank you so much for hosting us! We would highly recommend.

We often stay at B&Bs on multi-day hikes. I can’t remember a better one than this. A welcoming hostess, a huge, stylish room with a very modern bathroom, a sitting room and kitchen for guests. Our room looked over a road, but there was virtually no traffic at night. Sadly, we had to break off our 12-day hike after staying here, because of illness. Our hostess could not have been more helpful in explaining the options for getting back to our car in Blois.

The house itself is huge and immaculate with every room decorated exquisitely and with its own unique character. The owner is charming and warm with lots of helpful tips and her breakfast left us wanting nothing. I could not recommend La Maison Jules any more highly.

Nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement dans cette belle demeure où l'on se sent rapidement à son aise, comme chez des amis. Nous y avons séjourné plusieurs nuits, ce qui nous a permis d'apprécier pleinement une chambre spacieuse, confortable et parfaitement équipée, ainsi qu'un salon et une salle à manger décorés avec art. Bref, la Maison Jules est une adresse exceptionnelle, que l'on voudrait garder secrète et ne communiquer qu'à ses très bons amis ! Annie & Sylvain.
