Our 4th visit.Johan is an exceptional attentive manager the result being the staff are like family.Nothing is too much and always accompanied with a smile A beautiful setting out of the business of the town with spectacular views.Theres so much to do in the surrounding area we too 7 nights this time

La Petite Ferme feels more like someone’s beautiful home than a hotel. The staff seem to appear out of nowhere just to make sure everything is perfect—genuine hospitality at its best. The rooms far exceed what you see online, and the mountain views are so unreal they look like a movie backdrop. It’s just a two-minute drive (or ten-minute walk) to all the top restaurants in town, but honestly, you’ll never want to leave. Skip the back-and-forth and book directly with the property—you’ll thank yourself later.

An Unforgettable Stay with Breathtaking Views – A True Gem in Franschhoek Right after crossing the Franschhoek Pass—with its already stunning views over the valley—we turned into La Petite Ferme and were delighted from the very first moment. After a long journey, we received a warm and refreshing welcome that immediately set the tone for our stay. We stayed in the Villa Léman, which felt like a private sanctuary: a small pool, sweeping views over the valley and vineyards, and beautifully styled interiors. Simply perfect. The fine-dining dinner at the hotel restaurant is highly recommended. Exceptional cuisine paired with panoramic views made for a memorable evening. The service—especially from Michael—was outstanding: attentive, warm, and wonderfully unobtrusive. We enjoyed a very restful night’s sleep, followed by a delicious breakfast combining a buffet selection with à-la-carte options. Once again, the service team was friendly, thoughtful, and attentive. A special highlight was our walk into town with Johann, who entertained us with local news, botanical insights, and charming, eloquent storytelling. One detail we especially appreciated: housekeeping always tended to our room exactly when we were out. A small but very thoughtful touch that reflects the hotel’s genuine care for its guests. La Petite Ferme is a wonderful place suitable for solo travelers, couples, and families alike. You can feel the warm and heartfelt hospitality throughout the entire stay. And the view? Absolutely breathtaking. Photos don’t do it justice—you simply have to see it yourself. We would love to return!

My partner booked us for a meal at this place on recommendation from her dear friends who live in Franschhoek - a lovely restaurant on the side of a hill, the views, and décor are breathtakingly beautiful - we arrived and we shown our table, however we had an option to sit on the lawn and take in the view, and it was amazing, sipping a cocktail on the lawn (all brought to us of course) amazing photos, ambiance and watching the sun go down, we took numerous photos and then went to our table - this is for me when things got frustrating. Let me start by saying the service and the staff are very pleasant, however I feel a little forgetfulness - when asked if we had any allergies my partner said to the waiter (and we confirmed this ahead) that she was vegetarian, and that I was pescatarian, in essence we do both not eat meat, we then were subsequently served with rolls with butter and "meat" bites, we mentioned "that we do not eat meat" and the waiter apologised and then returned with a "Salmon" taster - again we had to explain to the waiter a 3rd time that my partner especially is Vegetarian and cannot eat fish - again the waiter apologised. I ordered the fish (which was amazing) but asked for removal of any "meat" eg the Parma ham - I am not aware that the message got through, because I have a medical condition in my stomach that makes me aware if I have had any "meat" or "meat" was not removed, and I suffered that evening, so I can only assume that the message did not get through again and it did contain Parma ham. It was a real shame because the ambiance of the place, the setting, the staff etc was amazing and the the food itself was lovely, it's just frustrating that we had to inform the waiter a number of times about our allergies and it seems a little forgetfulness caused the frustration - just get that right, and you would have had a full 5 stars.

We stay at Le Petite Ferme every year, and it is our highlight time away together a couple celebrating special occasions. Everything is so meticulous....the food is absolute stellar....the restaurant stands out in the area. For all of dinner, lunch and the breakfasts are special. Johan is a great host, and the staff are fantastic. And I promise you this....you cannot find a hotel with better views anywhere else in Franschoek and possibly even all of Cape Town.

My husband and I stayed for two nights to celebrate our anniversary, and we loved every moment. From the tranquil surroundings to the divine cuisine, superb accommodation, and the warm, attentive staff—everything made our stay truly special. We especially appreciated the little added extras, from the minibar treats in our room to afternoon cake & tea, and even a wine tasting. Such thoughtful touches made it unforgettable.

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who made our stay memorable. We were welcomed by smiley Monica at the gate and then started our world-class weekend away. Heinrich at the wine tasting was excellent, great to taste wines that are not available anywhere else. Such a unique experience paired with a view of vineyards. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have the best views in The Winelands. Everything in the mini bar is free of charge which is a nice touch. We asked for a baby sitter last minute, and Mercia was absolutely wonderful with our daughter. The afternoon tea with cake was an absolute highlight. Thank you very much to all of the staff who attended to us at all times and made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Our stay was warm, relaxing and just what we needed! We will be recommending La Petit Ferme to all our friends and family. Thank you.

Best five star experience in Franschhoek. I would not stay anywhere else. The people the food the beds all exceptional!
