This is a beautiful spot with an exceptional view. It is understated and elegant. The number of guests means that you can enjoys the space and tranquility while receiving excellent service. Food and wine offerings are good, staff attentive and knowledgeable. The game viewing was perfect. This area deserves more -KZN is unique and very different from the heavily visited Western Cape. The drive from Durbs is easy even in 38 degrees (the day we drove up). The reserve is not packed with people hence the experience is calm and unique.

After a very enjoyable visit 2 years ago, we decided to come back for a much longer stay. We were a little apprehensive that a return visit would not be as good as the first one but we were so wrong! This time we stayed for 6 nights and we had an even better time than on our last visit. All staff were very helpful, attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. They surprised us with a river lunch, a private dinner in the boma and, highlight of the visit, a private lunch in a hide overlooking a waterhole. During this lunch, an elephant decided to join us and have a drink there. An unbelievable experience! The lodges are super comfy with all amenities that you need for a comfortable stay, including the use of water bottles, and a pre-bedtime sherry. The food was ample, varied and very tasty with a good selection of wines included (with premium wine available for an extra cost) We did 11 game drives, very ably led by Alexa with assistance from Anzel and Matt. They were all very knowledgable and passionate about the wildlife and birds that we saw. Apart from a leopard we saw all big animals, including a black rhino which doesn’t happen often. At the end of our visit, we had the opportunity to see the de-horning of a black rhino. This was an experience we will not forget. Unfortunately, de-horning is necessary to prevent poachers killing the rhinos just for their horn. Leopard mountain is a magical place, a place to relax and re-connect with nature. We came as returning guests but we left as friends. We are hoping to come back in a couple of years time. Thank you to all staff for a very special stay

Our stay at Leopard Mountain Safari Lodge was truly phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful, seamless, and deeply special. The rooms and amenities were absolutely beautiful and struck the perfect balance between luxury, comfort, and connection to nature. Every detail felt intentional, and the setting itself was breathtaking. Our guide Nicole was outstanding. Her knowledge, presence, and ability to read the land made each game drive unforgettable, and several guests shared that the safari experience here was a highlight of the entire trip. Johan was also amazing, and the level of care and attention from the entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed and supported throughout our stay. The spa services were excellent as well and added such a lovely layer of relaxation to the experience. The food was delicious and consistently well prepared, and the service across the lodge was warm, professional, and attentive without ever feeling intrusive. Truly, there is very little I would suggest in terms of improvement. The experience was exceptionally well run, and it shows.

What an amazing experience! The lodge and accommodations were beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch. We had been on a safari in Tanzania but this one was much different. It was intimate and private. You were able to see the animals without the hubbub of a bunch of other Jeeps crowding in one area to spot a lion or a rhino. The guides were very knowledgeable and accommodating. What's more, you were out on safari for about 7 hours each day so the price per person was more than worth it as it included lodging, food/drink (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) and the safari. I would highly recommend Leopard Mountain. They created memories that will last a lifetime.

One of the most beautiful places I have experienced. The room was gorgeous. The food was great and the service was outstanding. Nicole our guide was patient and sweet. Johan made it feel like home. I hope to go back soon.

We stayed at this wonderful lodge during X-mas time. As from the welcome until the goodbye we were surrounded by lovely staff and beautiful lodges. From our terrace we looked over the valley and sometimes saw a giraf passing by down below or heard a hyena crying really close to our lodge. Even baboons, impalas en beautiful birds pass by. The room was perfect and we even had a shower outside. The food was delicious. We loved the high tea and the breakfasts. At X-mas day the staff surprised us 2 times at the end of our game drives. In the morning with pastries and mimosas and in the evening with some X-mas carols and a shot / little drink. Everyone did their utmost. You are not able to not love these people. Alex and Matt were our rangers/guides and took us on some beautiful rides. We even had the chance to see a cheetah hunting and catching its prey. If you have the chance, please take a Rangers coffee on 1 of your drives. Would love to go there again & will certainly recommend this lodge to lots of people. Thank you for having us!

We had the most incredible few days at Leopard Mountain Safari Lodge. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel as if nothing was too much to ask, the service provided by the staff at leopard mountain is 5 star with exceptional attention to detail. The game drives with Graeme and Alexa were incredible, we saw so many amazing animals and the depth of knowledge that the guides have is fascinating. We will 100% be back here as soon as we can. We wish we could have stayed for longer this time around! Thank you so much to all the team at Leopard Mountain for making our stay so unforgettable.

This magical little piece of African paradise, with its extraordinary people, has stolen our hearts and surpassed our wildest expectations. The breathtaking views, impeccably beautiful luxury chalets, incredible food and enchanting game drive experiences, were beaten only by the most delightfully charming staff who could not have been more professional, warm and so welcoming. Finally, as well as sharing with us the magic of the African bush and its sensational wildlife, our fantastic game guide, Alexa was a little treasure trove of knowledge, excitement and fascinating conversation all packaged up with boundless enthusiasm and infectious passion. We were there for 4 days and every minute was amazing. From the game drives with Nicole, who was so knowledgeable, kind and enthusiastic; to the stunning view from our terrace; to the beautiful food and magical atmosphere created by all the staff at every meal. We couldn’t fault anything – a very special place.
