Einzigartiges Cottage, liebevoll gestaltet und eingerichtet: Urige Holzm?bel, Blumen vor den Fenstern, Miniaturh?user aus Stein im Garten. Wir wurden mit Tee und Keksen empfangen, gro?e Auswahl an Tee zum Selberkochen. Mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten in Kenmare mit netten Restaurants und L?den. Wir haben hier schon zum zweiten Mal übernachtet und wollen wiederkommen.

Our hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was delightful! I love all of the rustic wood furnishings, and the cosy atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place near Kenmare, which is a great little town with a nice selection of pubs.

Lovely thatched roof cottage, looks exactly like the pictures. The room was very comfortable. Host Carmel cooks a wonderful Irish breakfast. The cottage is a short drive from Kenmare and fairly centrally located for trips further away, such as The Kerry Cliffs or Gap of Dunloe. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this B&B!

The good … the gardens are lovely and the flowers are simply gorgeous. The thatch roof style of the home is charming and inviting. Host Carmel is welcoming and helpful; she was also very understanding when I embarrassingly started to leave without paying, as I thought I’d booked a prepaid rate rather than just a deposit. Yikes, that was not great on my part but she was very kind about it and we settled the payment quickly. The not so good … the home is more rustic than I’d prefer, and generally felt a bit dated and dusty. Also, the stairs to the second floor were very steep and felt especially so with bags. Traveling as two older adults - one elderly - this was concerning. Booked through B&B Ireland and I assume if I’d booked directly my request for an accessible room would have been easier to communicate Kenmare is wonderful and this area of Ireland is absolutely worth a visit. Enjoy!

You’ll get a true, traditional and unique Irish experience at Lissyclearig. You instantly become and are treated as family by Carmel, the owner, who is available to assist in anyway (and who serves up a full Irish breakfast). Our room (double and single) was on the main floor which meant no climbing stairs - if you have mobility issues, be sure to call ahead). Also, be advised that your room may not have enough outlets so if this is a concern ask first. Overall, Lissyclearig is a place that will make your trip to Ireland special. Immerse yourself in Irish history whilst living in the present.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights at this lovely cottage and absolutely adored the charm of the place. Carmel made us feel welcome and the full Irish breakfast was really tasty. Carmel made us a pot of tea and biscuits when we arrived and it was so special. We also loved meeting her sheepdog, Rocky. What a sweetie! Carmel also gave us great tips for places to hear live music, dine and eat as well as stunning sights along the Ring of Beara. We felt very at home and welcomed. We would definitely stay there again.

This lovely cottage really gave what I believe to be a true Irish experience. Carmel greeted us at the door with such a warm welcome. The Irish breakfast was wonderful and the gardens were just beautiful. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you Carmel for a wonderful stay!
