I should have read the reviews. The room was cold, the bed was comfy, the shower was weak, the towels were cheap and small, there was no Wi-Fi in the bedroom, the room was quiet and I got a good night sleep. A bit of a mixed bag really! I wouldn’t stay again.

Called here for 1 over night. Welcome at the bar was ok, we enjoyed a few drinks in the garden in the evening talking to locals, who were very nice. The location was hard to find, but a quick turn around in Tesco next door, put us back on the right road. However, the room was ok apart from a dodgy lock. One heavy push and that room would have been broken in to. Toilet and shower was ok, but the shower was very slippery for anyone with a disability. However, breakfast was the breaking point. We were served by a very rude lady that complained about not having a lot of paying guests to warrant offering fresh yoghurt or fresh fruit for breakfast due to this food going out of date without being used. The breakfast for £8 each was small, very little careals on offer, no fresh fruit or yoghurt and no assistance on where I could find the coffee or tea. When we arrived for breakfast, the milk and fruit juice was running low, but no offer to top up, so I could enjoy a bowl of careal and have a fresh juice. Felt like we were intruding by wanting the breakfast. We won't be calling again. However, if money was spent on this place to do the work needed, freshen up the fabrics and train the staff, I am sure this would be a brillant place to stay.

One night stay at the Llanerch inn Arrived at the inn in the evening, eventually when we found the inn as the signage isn’t very good and you could go past the sign and miss it completely. Parked up the car , struggled to find a space as the car park was very busy but I did find a tight space under a tree . Unloaded the suitcase and this is where I struggled to find the entrance to the inn there was a car parked near the path to the front door so it was quite tricky to drag a suitcase down the steps after squeezing past the jeep . Signage for checking in was a piece of paper stuck to a wall informing people to check in at the bar , so down the steps with the cases and waited in line to check in . After A little while we managed to get the attention of the bar staff to check in and get the room key , booked breakfast for the morning for 8 pounds per person , which seemed reasonable. The atmosphere at the bar was awkward , I felt quite uncomfortable lots of swearing’s and shouting from customers but it’s a pub for locals so I expected it to be busy and noisy . The barman showed us to the stairs where there was washing machines in the hallway stacked on top of each other , the fella did apologise and mentioned they were in the process of updating the washers and moving things about , so it wasn’t really an issue . He offered to carry the bags up but I declined as I’m slightly awkward and tend to just get on with it myself … big mistake as I didn’t realise there was three flights of stairs which had a very very low handrails so it was a job and a half getting to the top floor with all the bags .. but that was completely my own fault for being too awkward to accept help . I am disabled and I should have asked if there was adequate access before booking and arriving (also my own fault again ) The room was a twin room , two single beds adequate cabinets and space with a tv on the wall and a kettle in between the beds on another cabinet which seemed pretty well thought out . Settled in and came across the first problem with the room which was the odd smell of the room , it smelt strongly of damp and mould but I couldn’t see any on the walls , wallpaper was peeling off in places and the ceiling had a huge crack going all the way across . Was slightly anxious of it falling onto me during the night but the inn is an old building so it’s to be expected. The inn could do with some serious work , refurb and a lot of TLC but for the price of the room you get what you pay for . The bar was super busy super noisy and quite shabby smelt so strongly of stale beer it was off putting but proceeded to order so dinner . Ordered a burger and chips which was homemade, the chips were cooked perfectly and the burger was good , a good meal for the price . Had some drinks one which was thatchers on tap which was flatter than a pancake but it was late in the evening so again I let that slide . The bar was full of youngsters having a piss up which for a local pub it’s inev
