Great place to stay, really lovely host. Spotlessly clean and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was more than plentiful, with lots of choice. Bed was comfortable.Would definitely stay again.

Superb place run by a lovely lady. The location appears a little odd when you book it (it's behind a car dealership in the middle of nowhere) but turns out to be perfect - quiet and safe, but close to a main road, and plenty of private parking. Warm welcome on arrival, and a great room with everything you need, TV, kettle, free internet access, even fresh milk supplied daily! An excellent breakfast is cooked to order at any time to suit you between 6am and 9am. Everything you could wish for in a guest house/B&B and there's a great pub about 2 minutes drive down the road for the other meals.

Our hosts, Eirian and Steve, were the best you can imagine. We didn't have a car, and most of the time Steve dropped us off or picked us up. He even took us on a tour of the island one morning, all the way to South Stacks. The room has everything you need and is spotless and quiet, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast is very good, with fresh cooked food and fresh coffee as well as a healthy buffet. We first arrived for one night only. The island was fully booked the next 3 days and Steve suggested staying in Chester until after the weekend and then returning. Brilliant advice, as was all his advice on what to see and how.

We had an amazing 2 weeks here, Eirian and Steve were fantastic, they helped us when we were stuck for places to see and do, the breakfasts were amazing, really tasty and the rooms were really nice too. We would more than happily stay here again if we were in the area. Best wishes from the Yule family.

The postcode doesn’t take you to the B&B. It’s the road next to the Mazda Dealership you have to take, then it’s the 1st house on the left. Upon arrival your greeted with a very warm welcome and shown to your room. We done a 7.5 mile hike around the Slate Quarry which was tough, the walk was almost as high as Snowdon with some great views of the valley below. Some very steep slopes and a beautiful slate path that is hard to believe it’s actually a path. After a strenuous hike we were both looking forward to a relaxing shower but unfortunately it comes out at a trickle and didn’t get hot at all. Needless to say no shower. Just relaxed watching TV instead. Breakfast is very good indeed there’s loads of choices of cereals and yoghurt and fruit. The full English breakfast is very filling. Make sure to say what you don’t like otherwise you’ll get everything! We said we’d have everything not realising you’d literally get everything! Fried bread, hash browns, sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes, toast, black pudding, mushrooms. Upon checking out we let the host know the problem we had with the shower. We did another 2 mile hike around Church Island and surrounding woodland before heading home. We’ve had a great time in Wales and will definitely be back to enjoy more.

A welcoming hotel. Comfortable place to stay. The owners were helpful, they really looked after us. The double room was nice and clean. The breakfast was good too. We would stay there again. Value for money! Lots of extras making sure we had everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay here at the Maen Hir Guest House. The owners are so welcoming, friendly and kind and looked after us well. The room and bathroom were spotless and the guest house in general was very clean. The breakfast was great and there was lots of options. Would highly recommend staying here, it felt like staying with family! Thank you.

Un tranquillissimo B&B all'inizio dell'isola di Anglesey, poche miglia a nord di Menai Bridge. Ambiente puitissimo, proprietari simpatici e cordiali. Una sosta piacevolissim. Camra spaziosa. con due belle finestre e molto silenziosa (unico difetto il letto troppo vicino alla scrivania con conseguenti colpi ogni volta che passavo...). Letto comodissimo, bagno confortevole biancheria e ascugamani di buona qualità. Pacheggio davanti a casa, in area privata. Colazione molto buona, abbondante e di ottima qualità. Consigliatissimo per una sosta e per poter visitare l'isola con calma e vedere posti bellissimi come il faro a South Stack o piccoli porticcioli. Prezzi nella media, Il Galles è giù molto bello di suo ma una visita a Anglesey lo rende ancora più bello.

A last minute away break. A very warm welcome. It’s a shame you couldn’t bottle that smile and welcome. Room was adequate for our requirements. Fresh milk, biscuits in room. Cosy hot water bottle if needed. Not needed as the room was warm and cosy. Steve made super sized cooked breakfast freshly made to order. Cereals, yoghurt and fruit available.

We booked an overnight stay for a friend's party nearby. Pleasant welcome. Room and bathroom clean and functional except for a weird, gimmicky sink feature in the bathroom. The bedroom was not particularly warm when we returned to our twin beds at 1am. We cast lots for the one spare blanket and I won. My coat came in useful, however, so back to the 1960s on that score. Much to my consternation, we were told on checking in that breakfasts finished at 9am and found out next morning that this pronouncement was absolute. We presented around 9:08 to be told that cooking had ceased. We got cereal, tea and toast, so all was not lost. Well, I've learned my lesson for sure. In future I'll enquire on booking regarding breakfast times and will book or not depending on same. If early, forget it! Alternatively, since breakfasts here start at 6, perhaps I'll get up for that and return to bed until 10:15. Now there's an idea! Fear not though, I won't be back. Reasonably priced and positively reviewed by punctual breakfasteers, so my peeve need not deter potential customers.
