We have struggled a bit with the cleaning service coming when our children had their afternoon sleep. But other than that we have had a great time. Food was delicious, every day there was something we liked. It is a bit visible the hotel is older, but things were clean and stuff was always willing to help. Lots of activities for children, every day animation programs from various travel agencies who never asked if you have travelled with them or someone else. French agency would have their events in French, but when they saw someone does not speak French they would translate to English too. I definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Big slides were opened only for s short time every day and only for older children.

Although this appears to be an older hotel nothing is out of order or tatty , it looks like it has had a recent refurbishment and is in very good order . I went all inclusive and glad I did as it is a bit isolated ( 15 mins by bus to Irapetra for 2 Euros ) , I enjoyed the food so much that I had no urge to leave and try another place , the variety quality and was excellent , great salad bar and proper Greek main courses . Inclusive drinks - quality spirits good known brands , wines passable , beer not great , Mythos would have been nice . My room , facing inland , was very spacious and there was very little traffic noise at night . Comfortable bed and good bathroom and shower . Surroundings - lovely gardens with great mature trees , but the area outside of the hotel is nothing special , a few little shops though . My overall impression is that there is a spirit of good hospitality and generosity behind the management of this hotel , and I am pleased that I chose it .

Booked through Jet 2. Pros: Hotel is clean. Housekeeping on a daily basis and housekeeping staff are friendly and approachable. Stunning location. Hotel grounds are equally as stunning. Beachfront area is lovely, spent most of our time there. Staff were friendly. The kids pool was great with different slides. Cons: Wouldn’t recommend if you’re a British guest. All announcements from the animation team are in French, sometimes German but never in English. Daytime entertainment looked good at times, however not inclusive to British guests whatsoever. Food selection is extremely limited and despite being a family friendly hotel, their kids food options were nonexistent. One night for kids the options were chips, veg and a dry looking piece of pork chop. Unless they cater more for children, then I wouldn’t recommend for families with young children. We ended up eating out at some local tavernas most nights which were excellent! Hotel location is very remote and a long commute from the airport, with a few local tavernas and a few supermarkets, but nothing really else. There is no jet 2 rep at the hotel, so can’t really plan excursions. I’m presuming this is due to the remote location of the hotel. It rained 2 days of our trip (cleared up quickly). As a result, there were leaks throughout the hotel, mostly on the large staircase making it a health and safety hazard. I nearly slipped on one occasion and saw an older man with putting ice on his shoulder, presuming he slipped. Really dangerous. Parts of the hotel urgently needs refurbished to make it suitable for adverse weather conditions. Overall, if they cater more to British guests, improve on the food offered, and carry out urgent repairs then I would say it has the potential to be scored higher!

Teraz troch? o rozrywkach Animacje s? ale jakby ich nie by?o:( tzn.jest grupa animatorów francuskich którzy prowadz? animacje dla Fracuzów .Jest te? ma?a grupka animatorów niemieckich - animacje dla Niemców. Animatorzy sprawnie rozpoznaj? "swoich" innych unikaj?c jak tr?dowatych. To smutne bo Polacy i Czesi s? w zdecydowanej wi?kszo?ci i znaj? j?zyki.Pla? ?adna ,morze czy?ciutkie le?aków du?o (stare) ale nie trzeba rezerwowa? o ka?dej porze co? si? znajdzie. Generalnie pobyt uwa?am za udany gdyby nie animacje ps. hotel dla "kociarzy" kotów na terenie jest tu mnóstwo:)

We booked a last minute family week away. We arrived at 3.30am and had an efficient check in, reception advised that a cold plate of snacks, drinks and access to coffee, had been left in the dining area in case we were peckish after travelling - nice touch. We had booked a family room which had everything we needed but as my 2 sons are older we realised we needed a bit more space and privacy. I spoke with the Reservations Manager, Fotis, first thing in the morning. I could not have asked for more - he listened and resolved immediately, absolutely incredible service, what an asset Fotis is to the Mare Blue. This service ethos was evident throughout all the staff at Mare Blue. Food was fresh, tasty and plentiful.

We had an amazing time at Mare Blue! The beachfront location was perfect, and we loved lounging by the pool and trying the local food at the buffet. The vibe was fun but not too loud, and the staff made everything easy. A great place for two friends to relax, explore, and enjoy some sun in Crete!

Our stay at the hotel was unique. The room was very beautiful and well taken care of. The hotel is right next to the beach, which is very convenient. The restaurant had many meal options, and we enjoyed them all. Their desserts were incredible. The spa staff is amazing… We enjoyed our massages, felt refreshed, and completely relaxed. All the staff were always very helpful and cheerful. They made us feel at home. We thank everyone for our wonderful vacation.

We had an amazing holiday here and would like to share our experience. The accommodation was absolutely perfect – the rooms were clean, well-maintained, with regular housekeeping, and the maid was always kind and helpful. The food was fantastic. There was a wide variety to choose from – every day there were different options of chicken, pork, beef, lamb, fish, plenty of vegetables and fruits, and delicious desserts. The selection was rich and satisfying for everyone. The restaurant staff were quick to clear empty plates from the tables, keeping everything tidy and ensuring there was always enough space to sit comfortably. All the hotel staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. The animation program was diverse and entertaining, creating a great atmosphere. The pool was always clean and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing. Overall, we had a truly wonderful holiday – great comfort, cleanliness, and excellent service. We would gladly come back again! ?????

Situé en bord de mer, la situation de l'hotel est au calme comparé au Mare Village. Clientèle internationale et essentiellement allemande, anglophone, polonaise. Deux piscines non chauffées, toboggans et espace aquatique pour les enfants, on peut facilement profiter de la mer : propre, eau transparente, poisons dans les pieds... Quelques attractions payantes sont disponibles pour les touristes. Plage de petits cailloux (pas de sable fin) très agréable quand il y a du vent : cela ne vole pas dans les yeux ! Parasols et transats à disposition sans difficulté toute la journée. Chambre pour 3 personnes, spacieuse et correcte avec douche, petite terrasse. Personnel discret et très poli, ménage tous les jours. Restaurant pouvant accueillir du monde, mais relativement bruyant, possibilité de manger correctement même à quelques minutes de la fermeture. Dommage pour une seule soirée à thème dans la semaine et l'impossibilité de manger en extérieur. Bars et terrasses agréables avec tables et chaises à disposition. Spectacles ou animations tous les soirs, nombreuses activités tout au long de la journée et une matinée pool party fantastique !!! MERCI à la formidable équipe d'animation qui nous a fait voyager, qui nous a bichonné et fait rire tout au long de la semaine (on reviendra juste pour les blind tests) !

Sacré séjour d’une semaine, piscines très propres, chambres idem tous les jours. Nourriture variée, très très bon h?tel. Les équipes souriantes, serveurs, cuisiniers … La mer bleue turquoise, transats un peu vieillot sur la plage mais pas un souci réel !
