Treated myself to a solo week here in August after a tough year at work. Best decision ever. The size of the place meant I never felt awkward being on my own - met a few other solo travelers by the pool actually. Room was lovely with a little balcony perfect for morning coffee. Felt very safe walking around the area at night. The breakfast terrace became my favorite spot - grabbed a book and spent ages there each morning. Staff were brilliant, never intrusive but always there if needed. Beach is stunning and never packed. Just what I needed to recharge.

My husband and I visited Mare Blue Suites in late August for our summer holiday. We specifically chose an adults-only hotel as we wanted peace and quiet, and this delivered perfectly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and civilized - no loud music, no running children, just calm and pleasant. Our room was on the first floor with sea view. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. The furniture is perhaps not the newest style, but everything functions properly and is comfortable. This is more important than modern design in our opinion. Housekeeping was excellent - room cleaned daily, fresh towels, everything perfect. The breakfast is served from 7:30 to 10:30 on a beautiful terrace overlooking the water. Good variety with fresh bread, several types of cheese and cold cuts, eggs prepared to order, Greek specialties, fresh fruit, yogurt with honey. Coffee is proper espresso, not from machine. We usually had breakfast around 8:00 when it was quiet. The beach is directly accessible from hotel property - perhaps 20 meters walk. The water in late August was still very warm and pleasant. We swam every morning before breakfast. The pool area is well-designed with enough sun beds and umbrellas. Never a problem to find a spot. Bar service is good, prices reasonable for hotel bar. We particularly enjoyed the evening atmosphere on the terrace - perfect for aperitif before walking to village for dinner. Georgioupolis has several good tavernas within 10 minutes walk. The hotel staff were professional and helpful throughout. When we had a question about bus schedules to Chania, reception printed information for us. WiFi worked adequately for checking emails and news. We would certainly return and can recommend this hotel for couples seeking a peaceful, quality beach holiday.

Wife and I stayed here for 6 nights in July. No complaints. Location delivers, beach right there. Room was clean and comfortable, AC worked great. Breakfast had good variety, we were happy with it. Pool area is nice for afternoons. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's not luxury but it doesn't pretend to be. Good value for the quality you get. Would book again.

My husband and I had a fortnight here in September and it was just brilliant. The setting right on the beach is gorgeous - we'd sit with our morning coffee watching the waves. Room was spotless, cleaned beautifully every day. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. The pool's a nice size but we preferred the beach. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Only wee thing was the shower took ages to heat up in the mornings, but honestly that's being picky. Village is charming with some cracking wee tavernas. Already talking about coming back next year!

Good hotel. Location excellent for beach. Rooms clean. Staff nice. Breakfast ok. We have good time with friends. Price is reasonable. Nothing special but everything works

The room was a decent size, clean, and the air conditioning worked without issues. Breakfast had enough variety to start the day well. My partner especially liked how quiet and relaxed it felt. The staff were polite and efficient. No issues at all during our stay. For a simple beach focused holiday, it’s a pretty solid choice

We stayed in late September, which turned out to be ideal. Warm days, fewer people, very relaxed vibe. The beach was almost empty and swimming in the mornings was a real pleasure. My husband struggles a bit with his back and the mattress here is one of the rare hotel beds that actually lets him sleep properly, which was a huge bonus. It feels very personal here, after just a short while the staff remember us and even know we like a table by the window at breakfast. We’re not into shows or loud activities, we just want to unwind, read, swim, and eat well.

Visited for almost a week in August and overall it was a solid experience. The biggest plus for us was the location, you’re basically right by the beach which was super convenient. The room was pretty nice, and the air conditioning handled the summer heat as intended which have been an issue for us in other places. Breakfast had enough choices to keep things interesting and the pool was a nice place to hang out later in the day
