We have stayed here a couple of times now & only this latest stay we noticed something immediately as we entered. A musty smell upon entry that really surprised us & a half drunk water bottle left on a book shelf?? We knew straight away.. something has changed & the attentive nature was missing from what we previously experienced. The main gate to the complex that normally is activated via the remote did not work either which was annoying as we had to exit our car each time in the rain to manually activate the gate?? The exhaust fan to Ensuite was not working, moisture absorber containers around the place & Netflix was not activated as described in the inclusions was included. We hope this lovely Gem we once knew does not slip into a category we preferred to leave behind. After a bit of investigating because of this unusual experience compared to the previous faultless stay, it was discovered the premises was sold late in 2021 to new owners. Still a great place to stay. Let's hope the high standard does not slip further & this fantastic getaway stays up kept as the previous owner Anita knew how. ??
