We loved our two-night stay here. Caroline and Peter were splendid hosts - we couldn’t have wished for more. The well designed accommodation was located in an exceptionally beautiful spot with stunning views from all sides. Delicious breakfasts were served taking in these views. Fabulous coastal walks beginning and ending on the property were available to work up an appetite. Peter took us on a comprehensive and informative tour of the island, tailored to include winery and gelato stops. Would definitely recommend.

Exceptional Marino Ridge commands the most outstanding views on Waiheke Island which is praise indeed as Waiheke is breathtakingly beautiful. Located 30th minutes by regular ferry from Auckland this is a must on any visit to New Zealand. It will be the first accommodation choice on our list for the whole of New Zealand when we return for the third time. The owners, Caroline and Peter, should be credited with having created what is considered to be the prime luxury property on the island. We felt privileged to stay there. The property is beautifully designed, modern, luxurious and surrounded by nature. Each of the three elegant suites have been designed with everything in mind for the most relaxing of stays. Breakfast is wonderfully prepared by the hosts at a time to suit you and features a range of freshly made dishes with many ingredients coming from their vegetable and fruit garden. In the mornings we sat on our balcony to plan the day but always had to postpone leaving as the panoramic views combining an unbeatable blend of crystal blue ocean, beautiful islands of the Gulf and set in what feels like a nature reserve are just captivating. Marino Ridge is without doubt a gem.

From the minute we arrived at Marino Ridge we felt incredibly welcome. Caroline and Peter looked after us so well - wonderful breakfasts, great suggestions for wineries - they really are so knowledgeable and happy to help make your stay unique. The accommodation is exceptional - wonderfully comfortable bed, and all the amenities you could need. Their lovely dogs Libby and Fabio make you feel like part of the family too. Thanks Peter & Caroline for making David's 60th birthday so special!

Great location, facilities- especially heated lap pool, friendly & helpful hosts. Breakfast was fantastic. Views from property and on local walks were spectacular. One of the best luxury accommodation places we have stayed around the world. Quiet and relaxing.

Marino Ridge is superbly located, beautifully designed and owned by hosts Peter and Caroline for many years. Our stay there was fantastic because we were so well looked after. The room was lovely and the food delicious. There is a great sense of privacy there. We walked the coastal paths and enjoyed the stunning views of the island attainable from the height of the property.

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights in January 2025 and all I can say is wow. Peter and Caroline (and don’t forget Libby and Fabio!) were the most gracious and accommodating hosts. The location and views are phenomenal and it was the best part of our 2 week vacation in New Zealand. You are in for a treat for the daily breakfasts. Make sure to take Peter up on his island tour offer as he knows the ins and outs of the island. He showed us all the spots and we hit some fantastic wineries. If you’re going to do one thing on Waiheke island, make sure to spend a night or two (or 10!) at Marino Ridge. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Peter and Caroline!! We will be back.

One of the most beautiful spots - in the world... The views astounding - the quiet amazing - and the owners so accommodating… we were treated to amazing fresh and gourmet breakfast each day - and our room was simply perfect with open air wafting breezes .… thank you Peter and Caroline for such wonderful memories in such a special location.… and hope our paths cross again …

We stayed 2 nights at Marino Ridge as our first stop on a 5 week New Zealand adventure. The rest of New Zealand has a high bar to meet with the experience we had at our Waiheke Island accomodation. Our hosts, Peter and Caroline, and of course, Libby and Fabio, their pets, were warm and welcoming and so gracious. The time and effort and love they put into their home which they shared with us was so evident. The decor is exquisite, framing the unbelievable views. The rooms are spacious and quiet, the beds comfortable. Breakfast was superb, healthy and tasty. Everything was to our liking. We swam, lounged, hiked, did a separate wine tour of the island, but the highlight of this amazing spot was our stay at Marino Ridge.

The hosts, Peter and Caroline, exceeded all expectations. This stunning facility has everything you need to relax and enjoy amazing views. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. Peter and Caroline served an excellent breakfast. And if you are a coffee lover, this is a place you should consider, as Peter is a maestro with the espresso maker. They are also a wealth of information on Waiheke Island and things to do. There are two lovely, well-behaved dogs who agree to and welcome you into the home. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

We very much enjoyed our 6-night stay in the Marino Lodge with Peter and Caroline. The property is stunning - so elegant and stylish. The views are panoramic - over to Great Barrier Island and Coromandel on one side and back to Auckland on the other. The pool is a joy to swim in. And the property is so relaxing and peaceful. We loved lounging around there. Caroline and Peter were keen to ensure we had everything we needed - they take real pride in what they do. It was a pleasure to get to know them. Highly highly recommended. A rare treat!
