Excellent, perfect garden. Nice host. Near pic e pay and near restaurants. Very nice pool and in the morning nice breakfast

First stop on our Garden Route trip and first time in Swellendam. Walter and his team were just perfect hosts. From reception to departure and in between, we felt at home and enjoyed every bit of this lovely guest house and this calm historic town. A place to return to for sure.

We stayed for two nights at Marula Lodge. Our experience was very good. Nice rooms and a central location. Walter was giving us some great tips and information. We had the absolute best meat on our two week vacation in South Africa at the restaurant De Vagebond in Swellendam. We also went for a hike in the Marloth nature reserve

The owner was an exceptional host, informing us of places to eat in town ( excellent choice ??), places to see when we left and the best way to travel. We visited everywhere you suggested and thank you immensely for your advice.

Walter was an amazing hoast. Very clean and coazy. Breakfast was a treat.

Great location in town, very comfortable stay with all you might need and a lovely swimming pool. Lots of restaurants and easy walk away.

The accommodation is centrally located. We were warmly welcomed and given tips on activities and restaurants. The room was clean, bright, and decorated in bright colors, and equipped with everything we needed (coffee and tea accessories, kettle, good Wi-Fi). We were also able to use the breakfast room as a lounge and the refrigerator there. Walter was a very helpful and humorous host.

Walter war ein fantastischer Gastgeber. Er hat uns viele Insider Tipps gegeben, stand immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. K?nnen wir absolut empfehlen sch?ne ruhige Lage gemütlicher Garten, einfach der perfekte Ort.

Die Lodge ist super ausgestattet und alles war sehr sauber. Walter hat uns freundlich empfangen und da er deutsch spricht, konnten wir uns noch sehr viele und hilfreiche Tipps von ihm geben lassen. Es war alles ausgezeichnet! Vielen Dank Walter, wir würden jederzeit nochmal bei dir übernachten??

Perfect Guesthouse in a great location, with a lovely garden & really like the garden rooms. Plus a great breakfast, with attentive service. The owner offered lots of local knowledge - including a special restaurant, just a short walk away.
