Location was great, period property with lovely surroundings. Honestly it was the best being able to take our dog. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and will definitely return in the foreseeable future.

Absolutely superb place - service was magnificent. Super accommodating and helpful with my toddler. Easy to find, just off the motorway. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Showers are great. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the night. Highly recommend and will be coming back for sure!!

I stayed overnight at this lovely little hotel as I was catching the ferry the following morning. It was a last-minute booking because of the snow, and I wanted to be close to the ferry port — what a great find! It certainly didn’t disappoint. And it’s also dog friendly! I was greeted by a lovely gentleman called Lawrence, who let me choose which room I wanted. He opened both rooms and asked which I preferred, helped me with my bags, and showed me around — such a welcoming and thoughtful touch. The hotel was spotless and very well kept. In the morning, I was greeted by a lovely lady (I didn’t catch her name) who kindly got a high chair for my baby and made sure I had everything I needed. She was so friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. A great little find — I will definitely be back and will be recommending it to others. Many thanks, Charlotte Thorpe

Amazing little find. It was like stepping into Cluedo. Had the place pretty much to ourselves and the communal lounge/drawing room areas were just lovely and ideal for us as a family group to sit in the evening.

Absolutely perfect and staff were wonderful - they made grandma’s 90th perfect. We stayed in the Davison suite which was spectacular and value for Money. Thank you.

I had an amazing time at Mere Brook House, with exceptional customer service and attention to detail I would definitely recommend them to others. Without doubt the best place I have ever stayed!

We had a short stay but were treated extremely well and we loved the accommodation, facilities and location. We couldn’t have asked for more.

Mere Brook House was easy to find and when you drive into the grounds and see the house you instantly think this is going to be nice. I was greeted warmly when I entered the house and was shown right away the kitchen and then my room. The room was very spacious and the super king bed was so comfortable, coffee, tea,drinking chocolate and biscuits to the side. The ensuite was very nice and the shower was hard to get yourself out of. My stay was extremely enjoyable and I would definitely be back if I'm in area on my own again working.

We stayed in the coach house at Mere Brook House. It surpassed all my expectations - it was immaculately clean, very comfortable and spacious. Communication with the venue before and during our stay was fantastic. I will definitely be back - great value and great place.

Exceptional guest house. We stayed in the garden view room which was large and beautifully decorated. The bed and the pillows were really comfortable and we had a very restful nights sleep. The location was excellent for the wedding venue that we were attending. A light breakfast was provided which we were not expecting and we thought that was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We would highly recommend this beautiful guest house and look forward to using it again
