The room was fine. The food in the restaurant was very slow. 2 tables that arrived after I had already ordered were served first. For a basic fish and chips this was poor.

Really friendly staff. There was nothing vegetarian on the menu but the Chef made me a lovely stir fry ????. Thank you

When we arrived we were shown down the side of the hotel to the lodge. We had paid for an Executive room but were told we were in the bridal suite? it was very cold and damp and the four poster bed was completely covered in cobwebs and dust. We went back to reception and reported it to the receptionist who said no more rooms were available, but another one said they had an alternative room. This wasn't much better it was also very cold and wasn't very clean but we were given a heater as the heating wasnt put on until five in the evening. Also the smell of paint in the corridor was appalling. Very Disappointed ?? Mr Duncan Hardy

Staff were all lovely. Room and corridors are very tired and dated. Our room had a large water mark on the ceiling which didn’t look great. Could do with updating.

All staff we encountered were friendly and cheerful. Breakfast was very good. Decent choice of drinks in bar. We stayed in a room at the end of the building, was quiet not disturbed by other guests. Would stay here again.

The room was very clean, although there were some mould areas around the shower in bathroom, that need attention. It was good for the price. We paid extra for breakfast at ￡12 but that was outstanding! We were in the annex which was a little out of the way but quiet if there are events on. The bathroom was spacious and overall very comfortable.

The location was ideal for me. It’s situated on a fairly busy road, but the noise was not noticeable for where my room was located. I chose the hotel more so for convenience as everything I needed was within walking distance for me. The staff were amazingly polite and helpful. The decor was not modern, but then again it’s an old property, but everything was clean and useable.

We are from Washington, Tyne and Wear, and had a 2 day stay at Millfields, 1-3 Jul, on a Room only basis, while helping our son and daughter in law to move into their new home. The staff at the Millfields hotel are amazing. Big thumbs up to Wayne and to Lisa in the bar, who were the perfect hosts, very attentive, as were all the reception and other staff we met. The hotel is spotless, and bedrooms are comfy and have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Thanks everyone!

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean and comfy. There was no AC, but the electric fan worked fine. The breakfast had a small buffet and various a la carte options. We tried the full English and Eggs Royale - both were absolutely delicious. The gym was also great - spacious and well appointed. Staff were lovely. We would definitely stay there again.

Millfields Hotel is a lovely little getaway. Very easy to access by public transport and very closely located to the town centre. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The room was cosy, clean and comfortable leading to a pleasant stay. Would recommend and definitely will stay again!
