During my stay, there was repeated nighttime noise intrusion from nearby live music. The sound was clearly audible inside the room due to insufficient window sound insulation, resulting in sleep disruption across multiple nights.
The issue was reported promptly. The initial response was the provision of ear plugs, which is not an appropriate control measure for a structural environmental noise issue. While follow-up staff engagement was more thorough and room availability was rechecked, alternative rooms presented different noise exposure risks. The noise returned at a very loud level on the third night. I ultimately resorted to manually dampening window gaps, yet the music remained clearly audible.
In addition, the room exhibited basic hygiene and maintenance deficiencies, including mold in the shower area, dust on bedding and surfaces, and worn floor condition.
In environments with known nighttime activity, effective sound insulation, preventive maintenance, and clear staff escalation procedures are essential to meet reasonable hospitality and guest wellbeing standards. Addressing these areas would materially improve the guest experience. During my stay, I experienced repeated nighttime noise entering the room, which affected my ability to rest. I reported the issue to hotel staff. While staff were polite and checked availability, no effective solution was available, and the noise continued on subsequent nights. Even after attempting to reduce the noise by blocking window gaps, the music could still be heard.
The room also had cleanliness and maintenance issues, including mold in the shower area, dust on bedding and nearby surfaces, and worn flooring.
This hotel may be challenging for light sleepers. Improvements in sound insulation, room maintenance, and preventative upkeep would significantly improve the overall guest experience.

Zimmer war gro? und modern eingerichtet. Sehr gut gelegen, man konnte alles fu?l?ufig gut erreichen. Das Zimmer war aber sehr hellh?rig, man hat alles von der Stra?e geh?rt… die Fenster konnte man nicht richtig schalldicht schlie?en. Handtücher/Bettw?sche wurde bei 3 N?chten kein einziges Mal gewechselt.

Decent place at a decent price. You do have to carry your luggage up but the front desk can do it for you.

While the room is not big it is exactly as on the photos.

My stay at the hotel was excellent. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely professional. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, creating a relaxing environment throughout my stay. Every detail — from the smooth check-in to the quality of service — showed great hospitality. I truly appreciated the team’s effort in making my experience pleasant and memorable.

Very good service from reception, very prompt in addressing queries or rendering assistance when required. Very good amenities in the room, even provided a free bath bomb for the bath tub! CGood location and easy to get to places within Georgetown! Everything is within 5 to 15 mins walking distance from hotel. Thoughtful design as there’s no lift so we can work off the extra calories gained each day! :)

i stayed in their single room and everything was fair for the price you paid for. room and toilet were clean, water pressure for the shower was decent.
location is great, everything is around a 10 minute walk for me from the hotel.
only downside is there’s no lift so if you have large/alot of luggages it’ll be abit difficult going up the stairs.

酒店位置方便, 由旧楼改建, 附近很多用餐地方, 十分钟左右便到夜市, 也可步行到壁画街, 房间不大但价钱实惠, 一人入住合适

I was on a 3D2N short trip in Penang. Book this hotel after discovering that they offer discounts for the dates of my trip. Land around midnight and I have email the hotel a day before that I will check in late. Upon arrival, I was greet warmly by the male reception and he directly confirm my name as if he was already waiting for me. Small gesture but really show that they really take their service seriously. I proceed with the checkin and everytime I wanna go out, I was always greet warmly by the reception staff. I love nice people, crazy right? Haha, but meeting and being greet nicely, smts makes someone feel good about their day, well at least thats what I thought.
Room 202
I am staying in this room and its super comfortable for single traveller. The bathroom is clean, and I love how hard the water pressure is makes me feel so clean when I shower, felt like all the dirt are being wash away along with bad memories, oopsie ＞＜ They provide all the toiletries, towel, laundry bag, coffees, water heater and hair dryer. Just in case anyone worries about any of the things above cos I always do since I have experience few hotel that didnt provide some of the stuff I mention despite booking the master room. Ah! Water dispenser is provide outside of the room and they balcony where you can lie down and sky gazing at night too. For this room, this is very near only, walk out few steps only.
The only downside of the hotel is they did not have lift, if you bring heavy luggage and you get higher room, then you will get free gym, prftt no lah, but the reception got offer me to carry my luggage but I refuse to, you know why, cos I am strong and has been through a lot of heavy struggle so its okay. Ceh sohai :/ Okay la, I wanna sleep, I am so boring only cos just now my friend say my trip.com level is just gold and she platinum so I felt challenge and I dont wanna lose. Okay bye. Siao, 1 oclock already. Tomorrow got flight and dance practice, sleep more later my brain will not function properly alr tmr. Ok bye. FR.
