Gewohnter Motel One Standard - ordentliche Zimmer, nette Bar und speziell bei diesem Haus eine top Lage in der Innenstadt. Das Parken kann sich zu bestimmten Tageszeiten etwas schwierig gestalten (das direkt angrenzende Parkhaus ist sehr beliebt…) - aber sonst alles bestens.

Alles sehr gut. Netted personal an der reception und an der bar. Super late. Einziges minus die tür wird einfach zu gemacht ab 00.00uhr. Es war samstag wir Waren feiern und war nerving zu warten draussen bis Jemand das Kl?pper H?rt und einen rein l?sst.

Meist meide ich Motel One's wegen der oft viel zu kleinen Zimmer. Am Kennedyplatz 3 in Essen ist es anders, die Zimmer sind von der Gr??e her ok und es gibt einen Stuhl und einen Tisch. Es ist ein ehemaliges Beh?rdenhaus in Massivbauweise, durch die dicken W?nde h?rt man quasi nichts, sehr sehr ruhig, trotz zentralster Lage. Die Bar ist gut sortiert, alles ist sauber, das Personal nett, der Preis ebenfalls im Rahmen, hierkann man nichts falsch machen! Obacht Abends und Nachts vor dem Hotel tauchen immer wieder tragische Gestalten auf, die teils agressiv betteln.

Lovely hotel and perfect location. The nicest and most comfortable bed and bedding we have had in the last four weeks in Germany for Euro24. Would happily book again.

Great stay!
Good location close to Hbf train station and plenty of restaurants. Very comfortable and spacious room. Staff was kind and accommodating. Lounge bar was a huge plus!

Great hotel, reasonable value considering the euros was on, good location only 10 mins walk from the station. The bar, lobby areas amd rooms are stylish and clean and the building is cool. However the breakfast is overpriced at nearly 17 euros - there is a limited buffet selection with no hot food and only coffee from a machine, its not worth the money.

Great stay
I stayed here for the Euros, as I had tickets for a match in Gelsenkirchen. The hotel staff spoke great English and were very helpful. The room was clean and the noise from the street was minimum. The town of Essen has a few restaurants and bars. The hotel is around a 15 minute walk to the Hauptbahnhof. I would recommend Motel One to other travellers.

The checkin was easy. We were confused about the parking situation. We had to go inside and find out where to park. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. The staff was very helpful and did everything they could to make our stay better. The Christmas markets were across the street from the hotel which made it nice for visiting day or night. Dining choices were abundant within easy walking of the hotel.

Great small room, very clean, very well maintained, bar staff stunning. Check in, no room ready after waiting 3 hours to check in. Staff at check in very aggressive. No kettle in room or ability to get morning drinks unless you pay for simple and expensive breakfast.
