Absolutely love this wee pub. Its so cosy with a lovely atmosphere. Food was really good too. Haven't stayed in the hotel yet, but I think we might do that next time.

Booked 20 min b4 arrival as A9 had closure. ￡85 b&b. Top floor huge bed, so comfy, fluffy towels, kettle tea coffee shortbread.. Went to pub attached- great cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. Breakfast was a highlight- amazing, fresh, hot and girl serving was so lovely to everyone. Compliments to chef!!! Bargain. Yes rooms are old fashioned. But old hotel. Only negative is electric shower, car park very dark and lady on reception could have been wee but more welcoming. Would use again as was really relaxing and great value for Pitlochry. Would be lovely to sit outside in summer.

We recently stayed for a night. We were unsure after reading some reviews however we were so glad we booked. Excellent value and a short walk into Pitlochry. The food in the Inn was excellent and breakfast plentiful. Our room was older however clean and had everything we need. The square at Moulin was lovely and my partner enjoyed the beers on site. Full of character and a must visit whether it be for food or accommodation whilst in the area.

My partner and I planned a few days away near Killiecrankie and decided to try the Moulin Hotel for lunch after our day of walking. The atmosphere and decor is so Scottish and historical, and the fire at the top of the pub really adds to the cosy vibe after being out in the cold. The food was great and just what we were after, proper pub grub. We want to give a special 5-star shoutout to Charles and Sadie (the waiters) they were so attentive and gave us fantastic service. What was special to us was that they made our two Jack Russells feel extra loved with plenty of attention and some gravy bones, which of course they loved! We’ll definitely be coming back here very soon and Nola and Troy can’t wait to see Charles & Sadie again, they loved them! Thanks so much for the great service! Hotel bar, food and bar staff all good. Service in bar area very efficient, friendly and prompt. Food choices and standard great. Gladly visit and eat in bar again. Bedrooms dated and very squeaky floorboards in our room. Bed was very comfy and warm. Big let down was breakfast, beautiful breakfast room but on entering we waited to be seated. The waitress was in front of us setting up a table, didn't acknowledge us at all and after a few minutes we asked if we had a specific place to sit and she said no. We then sat down and after around 10 mins or so she came to ask if we wanted anything from the kitchen. She didn't explain about the breakfast set up ie making your own toast, coffee available but tea needed to be ordered. Breakfast took quite a while to come but that wasn't an issue as it had became busy and we were happy to wait. There were another 4 or 5 tables of people came in after us and the waitress didn't acknowledge them either and took around 15-20 mins to deal with them. One of the guests were walking around with their cups looking for tea and my husband had to tell them they had to order it with their breakfast. They had already ordered their breakfast and weren't asked if they wanted tea. A lady came in with a mobility scooter and the waitress told her to go to a table adjacent to the buffet stand which would have blocked the entrance to others. The lady then asked if she could go to another table and she said yes. The waitress left the lady who had then to struggle to try and pull out a chair to get her access to the table. A guest adjacent to the table got up and helped her get seated. On trying to check out after breakfast we rang the bell at reception and no one came. we ended up going back to our room for 15 mins and then going down and trying again. After ringing the bell again and another guest joining waiting to check out he rang the bell a couple of times then the same waitress came to check us out. The experience we had on checking in, eating and drinking in the bar was a completely different experience we had from breakfast and checking out. Which is a pity as we had really enjoyed our stay up until that point. One point to notice is it's very difficult to get a taxi if at all if you are down in the town and want to come back to hotel. We tried 5 numbers continually and no one answered. We had to walk back up which is 1 mile walk uphill. Generally that would not be a problem but it was pouring with rain so wasn't too pleasant.

Having read some of the very negative reviews I was hesitant to book, absolutely shouldn't have worried, it's a great little hotel. Absolutely fabulous staff, very welcoming and helpful. It was a midweek night and after checking in (seemles) we had a couple of pints and some absolutely terrific pub grub in the neighbouring bar. The menu is fantastic and the food the same. All the stsff were very friendly and engaging, they made us feel very welcome. The room was very nice, slightly dated but very comfortable and made first a great nights sleep. With a fantastic breakfast (included in the rate) in tge morning it made for a great stay. The Moulin is certainly deserved of a visit should you be looking for a an old traditional Highland welcome

We were in the Drover's Rest room and it was beautiful. Fabulous, friendly staff that looked after us and our dogs. The food was exceptional and my new favourite dish is the tempura cauliflower and mushrooms but every meal we had was excellent. Would highly recommend for a stay or just for the fabulous friendly pub and great food x the roaring fires are an added bonus x

Nous n'avons utilisé que le restaurant. Adresse remarquable, bar, brasserie, cheminée active! Personnel chaleureux, efficace comme partout en écosse, ou presque! Un must pour boire un verre et manger écossais! à refaire au plus vite! Thank you all!
