I rated it 5/5 i had a great time at Mount edgecombe are trip included friendly owners, a short walk down to the sea side and exqsitit food can't wait to come back!!

Our second stay in Torquay & Mt Mount Edgcombe Guest house . Jo and Darren are wonderful hosts , rooms always so clean and beautifully presented . Breakfast amazing and generous portions . Thank you so much Jo & Darren . We hope to come back again .

We had 2 rooms for a 2 night stay, on arrival we were met by the owner Jo who gave us a warm welcome then showed us to our rooms, rooms were spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could wish for - bottles of water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and a fridge with fresh milk. The whole hotel is so clean, there's a bar on site which we used both nights after full days out sightseeing, great selection of ciders, wine, beers a real nice place to chill at the end of the day. Breakfast was absolutely gorgeous pre ordered with a lot of choices, the fried bread was delicious compliments to Darren. We parked the car on arrival and didn't move it until we left, beach and town centre is only a 10/15 min walk with the train station being around the same. Jo and Darren are the perfect hosts. Thank you both for a great 2 nights ??Already looking at booking again.

We have stayed here for a good few years and once again had a wonderful time. Jo and Darren are as brilliant as ever and can’t do enough for you, plus the food is wonderful, breakfast plus evening meal 10 out 10. The rooms are very clean and everything you may need to hand. We just can’t wait until our next visit.

We've just had another great stay with the lovely Jo and Darren at Mount Edgcombe. As usual nothing too much trouble,great breakfast and spotlessly clean. It's like visiting old friends,roll on May! p.s. Darren..its been emotional ??

Recently stayed here for a weekend Friday till Monday,3 nights at this excellent guest house,Jo and Darren are the perfect hosts they made us very welcome for our stay. Such a nice place the bedroom was nicely decorated and very comfortable,the breakfast we had was freshly cooked each morning ,plus there was such a choice of what you wanted to eat. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Torquay,and we'll definitely be back again next year for another visit. Thank you Jo and Darren for making our stay such a memorable one.

Myself and my wife stayed in August 2025. Perfect location for travelling in or around Torquay. Rooms were spacious, well decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The room had everything that you could possibly need. The hosts, Jo and Darren were really helpful and made sure you had all you needed for your stay. Breakfast was outstanding, with a lot of choice and if interested, like I was, the Fried bread and eggs were magnificent :-) All in all a really great stay, we would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Had a lovely 3 night stay in the Edgcombe suite. Room had everything we needed and bathroom was spacious with jacuzzi bath and walk in shower. Plenty of mirrors, plug sockets, good hair dryer. Tea and coffee provided. Breakfast was ordered evening before and was delicious and well organised. Hosts Darren and Jo were friendly and on hand with recommendations if required. Just a 10 mins walk to sea front, bit further to other side of town. Would definitely stay again

Jo and Darren gave us the warmest of welcomes and were perfect hosts throughout. Nothing too much trouble. Stayed in lovely Torre Suite, lounge and bedroom. Shower lovely. Breakfast was amazing, see photo (im not an egg fan lol). Great location for walk into town. Can't rate this place highly enough!

We really enjoyed our stay at Mount Edgcombe. Jo & Darren are fab hosts, the rooms are spotless and super comfy, the food was amazing and the drinks were even better! Great location, a short walk from the seafront. Can’t wait for our next stay ??
