We stayed here for two nights. We dined in the restaurant on both evenings. The first night was average, but the second night, there were two girls running the front of House and they were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. They had good knowledge of the food dishes and the wine. Would highly recommend.

This is a food-led pub: you know that because the staff were always asking if I enjoyed my food but no one asked if I slept well! The food was delicious and the service was generally friendly and efficient. A special shout-out go to the breakfast team who were really attentive both mornings and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast chef was also excellent. I stayed in room 3 which was a mistake. Although it's a large comfortable room with a walk-in shower, it's directly above the bar. They play music downstairs until the bar shuts at 11pm. I don't think it's particularly loud but the age of the building probably means the beat from the music resonates around more. They play seemingly interminable songs which means you hear the same beat for absolutely ages. I think it would be more reasonable to stop the music at 10pm than 11pm to let their overnight guests get to sleep at a more reasonable time. It is after all, a village pub and I didn't expect music to be pumping out so late! I'd eat here again but if I were to stay, I'd ask for a room in the annex.

The best nights sleep I have had in a long while!! The staff were simply BRILLIANT and the food was OUT of this world FANTASTIC!!

Lovely room, which was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. A really great Cotswold hotel, which we’d highly recommend.

Stayed for two nights to attend a wedding nearby. Reception was very friendly despite the staff being busy with bar and restaurant service. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. This is clearly a well frequented local establishment. I would say that parking is an issue as the car park isn’t large and lots of cars are parked on the road. The food was typical pub style but was very good. I had the burger which was substantial and good quality. The restaurant was booked up but there was seating outside under umbrellas and the area was heated. Breakfast was excellent with good quality sausages in particular. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and for a weekend break I would be very happy to recommend it.

Perfect Cotswold country pub for every season. Log fires and candlelit in the Winter. Outside seating in Summer. My steak was excellent. Our kids loved their smash burger. Fab local ales. Duck leg spot on.

Eaten here several times - it is always busy. I am amazed at how they get food out in volume to such a high standard and at a reasonable price. The Flat Iron chicken is amazing, as is Pork Schnitzel. Nice friendly service too and it is a peach of a country pub visually. I will be back (This week in fact!).
