This property has all of the potential to be excellent if only the new(er) owners would be present long enough to meet guests for feedback. When absent, the staff in particular those attending to the restaurant, would prefer attending to their phones vs addressing guests. They nickel and dime on top of relatively high U.S. pricing for menu items. Such was the case when asking for I.e. cinnamon on oatmeal or butter for pancakes… it required a up-charge of $1.50 U.S….aside from poor customer service it was simply ridiculous. Seldom is there the required inventory to make menu offerings and as such, you’re lucky to be able order 2 of 8 items on the menu for any meal. Other notable shortcomings included a request at the beginning for the amount of preferred housekeeping. We chose every other day however realized after, it was simply a method for cost cutting vs environmental as not even toiletries or towels were checked for possible changing/replacement. Finally, after a four day stay we felt there were better offerings nearby and realize you really aren’t ahead financially staying here when a cab expense is necessary to enable having a decent meal.

Booked this resort using reviews and it was a great pick! Small boutique resort but with everything you need; pool bar, regular bar, restaurant and excellent room with a great view. No TV's, and no need for one. Great Wi-Fi. The Staff is amazing, truly made our stay so wonderful. And you can either stay here to self-reflect & commune with nature or make new friends around the pool and bar. Very happy with our visit!

I loved this place!!! I would stay here 100 times again if I could. The resort is so lovely and a great mix of caribbean and modern. The staff is absolutely lovely, shoutout to the bar manager Kay or K (sorry we never got your spelling)! Some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. The rooms are also lovely with AC and a mini fridge which were very useful to us. The property is just overall very beautiful as well. Everything was fantastic!!

Enjoyed our stay at this lovely little resort. As it is small it becomes like a little family which is lovely. the staff were also very nice. It's great to experience bajan life as in the middle of a housing estate with just one shack/bar, roosters and the wonderful 11 bus. we had a lovely sea view room. this hotel could be fabulous. needs improvement on food and service in the restaurant and the rooms need a glow up. little things like a lick of paint round the swim up bar would make a difference.

A few negatives. The breakfast on Saturdays is slow, as it’s one person serving, and they're more guests waiting on that day. A few people kept staring at their watches. The server Krystal is not pleasant person. She only really smiled to mock me as I spoke. Positives. Great ocean view from the room. The remaining staff were excellent and the young lady at reception does your hotel a justice with her customer service. Do bear in mind that this hotel is a little cut off, in a quieter area, though a bus around the corner can get you to Bridgetown. This suits some people who really want to get away from it all. The Ocean View room is well appointed and clean. I may opt for a more central location next time. Though I did enjoy my time and may consider a return if I just want the quiet.

Excellent resort property. The service is responsive. The owners are on the property and friendly. Ocean view is amazing. The restaurant and bar are great, good food, responsive service. The rooms are spacious and clean. And to not too far from airport.

Beautiful, quiet and clean. Staff is responsive and friendly and the owners are often on site. The room was simple but just right for us. Shower pressure was fantastic and the air conditioning worked great. The resort is a little bit out of the way, but is near the bus stop. We chose to rent a car so we could go all over the island on our own schedule. Highly recommend this accommodation.

What a little gem. Small boutique hotel with 3 stars. Spotlessly clean with simple but tasteful decoration with a lot of local art on display. Off the beaten track but everywhere is accessible by bus or taxi. The food in the restaurant is excellent; free tea and coffee all day was a real bonus. The staff deserve a truly special mention. Friendly, efficient, polite and considerate. If you want nightlife on your doorstep and instant access to the beach this isn’t for you. If you want calm relaxation in a wonderful setting, then this is your hotel.

We were in Barbados for 10 nights and I really wanted to try Ocean Blue but was concerned it may be too quiet. We decided on a 3 night stay and spent the other 7 nights at St Lawrence Ocean Blue is beautiful. The food delicious. The owners and staff exceptional. We enjoyed our time there so much and wish we had split the holiday 5 nights at each. If we go to Barbados again we will definitely stay at Ocean Blue for the whole holiday but hire a car for a few days to get out and about.
