Just back from a week away over October half term. We stayed in a one-bed apartment on 2nd floor above reception—one of those with the rounded brick balcony you’ll spot in the hotel pics. Balcony was a great size and soaked up the afternoon sun (definitely worth the extra for the sunny side). Slightly random: only three chairs for four of us. Inside, the apartment was classic Portuguese style spotless, with a well-equipped kitchenette and a great bathroom featuring a big walk-in shower. Outdoor pool was nice though it did get shady pretty early. We weren’t too worried as nearby beaches were fantastic (Praia da Falesia is a must). Staff were lovely and the indoor pool came in handy when we had a rainy day. Entertainment was low-key, two live music nights and a karaoke session while we were there, but enough to keep us occupied in between visits to local restaurant's and bars. All in all, a fab week.

I visited as a single mum with my 3 kids. We had a great time, hotel was clean and spacious. The gym - wouldn’t call it a gym. A treadmill and a handful of weights under 10kg. The outside pool was clean and safe for kids, but they wouldn’t let you bring your own drink and snacks. Great location, but very hilly to the beach and it wasn’t the best pushing my disabled child. There is a intermarche 5 minutes down the road, bus stop outside too. I wouldn’t call it evening entertainment, it was karaoke but barely anyone turned up. Overall, I felt safe as a single parent!

Visited 27th Oct-3rd Nov. Having never been to Portugal as a family before, we didn't know what to expect. Now, we don't want to leave! As soon as we arrived, we felt welcome & it felt like a home from home. The staff are just so lovely and can't do enough for you; particularly Ilidio in the restaurant area, who is one of the nicest men I have ever encountered on holiday. The breakfast buffet, although small, is perfect and very well attended, with new, freshly cooked items added regularly. Much better than some of the larger buffets that we've experienced over the years that get left out going dry for hours or left empty. You will have everything you need to set you up for the day; including complementary mimosas, if that's your thing! We stayed in room 14; an extra large family room, which was well equipped with everything you could need, plus 2 bathrooms & 2 balconies. Very clean & well maintained and the beds were made every day. The pool area is lovely and quiet and the drinks from the bar/restaurant are great. It's the perfect base to visit both old town & new town; only €5-￡6 each way via Uber (always available within a few minutes). We will definitely be back!

Absolutely fantastic place staff are amazing could not do enough to help and accommodate us ilidio and Miguel are so nice kind and helpful we were sad to leave them behind recommend a stay here it's an amazing place to stay

I cannot fault this hotel.? From the reception to the bar and pool staff, they are very special people. Each one went over and beyond for us. Anything you ask is not a problem. The receptionists took time to talk to us each time we passed by. They booked us taxis to all of our outings. They advised on best prices for us. They gave directions and recommended food and drink places.? The bar and pool staff were absolutely lovely. They were happy and enjoyed all of our company. They recommended the entertainment in the bar on the nights we should attend. The shops and surrounding restaurants are beautiful with very friendly staff. We didn't encounter one single problem with any dining experience. I see comments stating how low quality this accommodation is. I personally loved it all and I'm a regular hotel goer. I slept very well and found the apartment so comfortable with everything we needed on our stay. Each day our apartment was changed, cleaned and topped up. Our apartment was on the ground floor , we had 2 bathrooms and 2 balconies. Location of this hotel is amazing. Lots of surrounding bars and food . Supermarket only one minute dander from hotel. Bigger supermarket 3 min walk in the opposite direction. 10 min taxi into Albufeira and old town. Varying taxi costs. Most were about 10 to 12 euro for 4 of us. Sometimes maybe on peak traffic the tariff increased slightly. We came just at the end of September.? So it was perfect as it was not as busy. We had near 30 degrees temperature.? Zero cues. But still plenty of craic. My kids had the pool to themselves each day. The outdoor pool was amazing with a great deep end. The pool area was kept well. Very clean. Sun loungers all in good condition.? The snack bar was well stocked. The entertainment on 2 nights was great and lively.? It ended at 11.30 then some good music played on a speaker until? about 12. After this the hotel was relaxing and quiet. The beach short distance from the hotel. I want to make a special mention to a bar that is just a bit up from the supermarket called CABANA and the most friendliest bar man called Abhur who brought us the most cute cocktails mocktails. The kids got little gifts as well . They made one of our birthday such special night bringing us shots with a sparkler and played happy birthday. This bar is by far the quirkiest bar I've ever been in. The decor is stunning with an art gallery down the back and pool tables. Great music playing and cocktails decorated with a huge portion of fruit. The bar staff brought popcorn and crisps. Cocktails were very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. I sampled so 4 different cocktails. The kids had 3 different types of mocktails. Each drink was so nice.? One of the mocktails came with a biscuit and fruit attached. Just back from an 8 day stay on a Jet2 holiday. For price we paid the 1 bed apartment we had was more than adequate. Yes a little old fashioned in appearance but spotlessly clean with everything you need. Great powerful shower & comfortable bedding. Room cleaned everyday & towels refreshed etc. We had a few hours round each pool & it was lovely. We had an apartment on the roadside & it was a little noisy but great for people watching!

Had our lunch here every day of our weeks stay. Staff are friendly and attentive, great choice of meals to choose from, all good portions and freshly made, couldn’t fault any of the meals we had here.

I booked Oceanus for a friend very last minute and rushed the booking. On arrival we were greeted by Louis, he looked a little surprised to see us arrive which would all become clear…. He couldn’t find the booking, so I showed him the confirmation of booking and to my horror I had made the booking for 2026!!!! Louis started to see about availability and after a tense but funny 15 minutes said he thinks he had found a way to help but needed to speak with the manager! Whilst he was gone Paula( sorry if I have your name wrong) was having a joke around with us which helped my friend relax as she was nervous as she was staying for the first time on her own! Louis returned and said he had good news and bad news. Good news he had availability but would need to spend one night in a room and then the following day move to another room (not a problem for my friend), the bad news was that the price was more than double the cost of the booking due to early booking discounts( well I was a year early)! Then there was a BUT… the manager had managed to bring down the price to close what she had originally paid!!!Absolutely AMAZING as they really didn’t have to do that and I’m sure many hotels/ apartments wouldn’t have helped. My friend said the room was clean, comfortable and large. Great location for olhos da agua! She really enjoyed her stayed! We can’t thank the manager, Louis and Paula enough for helping us out, what a great team! If you are thinking of booking Oceanus then please do book it, you will be well looked after!

The wife and I have just returned from a wonderful week at the Oceanus. We were delighted with the hotel, it's facilities, friendly staff and it's location. The only small downside was having a room on the main road side of the building which at times could be a little noisy and the balcony didn't get any sun. However, this did not detract from the overall fabulous stay we had. Right at the start the friendly reception made our day when telling us our room was ready 3 and a half hours before the 4pm check-in time, which was a massive bonus. The standard one bed apartment we had was large clean and comfortable and had everything you would need for a self catering holiday. Yes it was a little dated but when you are not paying high end prices this is to be expected. It even had UK TV channels for us non-party animals. Room was cleaned and towels changed daily. The swimming pool, even if it was a little cold, was large enough to get a few lengths in and there were always enough sunbeds, even after the inevitable towels left to reserve them contrary to the house rules. However the areas around the pool were large enough to move beds around to chase the sun. The snack bar/restaurant had an extensive, if a little expensive, food menu and drinks menu and the portions were good and food tasty. The location of the accommodation was excellent with numerous bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk. We ate out every night except one and found the food to be excellent quality wherever we ate but would recommend Franks and Calherios. There's also a large supermarket 5 mins walk away with a small one about 2 mins away and prices were reasonable, The beach is only about 10 mins walk down a steep hill and is quite small but has a number of bars and restaurants. Don't worry there is a longer but less taxing route back which takes you up to the main Albufeira road( 20 mins) and back to the hotel. There are numerous other local beaches if you are willing to walk and access them downhill, or get a 5 euro Uber. The best of these is Praia do Barranco das Belharucas with around 4 miles of golden sand and spectacular cliffs. You can walk to Villamora, like me, if your are so inclined. There are a couple of places to eat and 2 sunbeds and a parasol 20 euro. The sea is warmish( well warmer than the pool) and was lovely to swim in. All in all a great time was had by both us and we have booked to return for 9 nights, same time next year. All in all Olhos D'agua is a small resort but with more than enough places to eat and drink and is only a 6-10 euro uber from the old town, for those who like it a little more lively. There is also a local bus 2.5 euro to Albufeira bus station, however it's either a 30 min walk our another bus to the old town bus terminus. Just one final mention to all the staff who were friendly and attentive and to Miguel who looked after us at the pool snack bar and during the happy hour in the hotel bar.

My husband, myself and my 16 year old daughter loved our recent visit. It's a quiet time of year, just what we needed, mornings by the pool, afternoons by the beach, with a few miles in the hotel gym too. We took a couple of trips into Albufiera, we took a boat trip and saw dolphins. It was quite mid-October at times I was the only person in the pool. Our apartment was beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed local shops and restaurants (vegetarian and vegan options available, also at the local supermarket) and watched sunsets and a sunrise from the viewing point on the beach. The best welcome came from the friendly staff, all of whom, receptionists, waiters, house staff were friendly. Memories of our teenager, knick-named 'Princess Martha' singing karaoke with the best ever karaoke host will remain with us. We loved our visit: thank you.
