We had three nights at eh Ormsgill Inn in September. Parking space available. Receptionist efficient and helpful, carried my bags upstairs. Room was spacious, clean with view over to the mountains. Beds had plenty of pillows, clean sheets and very comfortable. Bathroom was great as had huge walk-in shower with shower gel provided. Breakfast was excellent and we had the choice of breakfast time up until 09.30. Beautiful meal with plenty of choice. Cereals, fresh fruit, and full English breakfast was delicious, hot and prompt. Lots of toast, juice and water on request. And tasty jams and marmalades. Could not ask for more. Hosts could not do enough for us at every stage of our stay.

Lovely stay at this very welcoming inn. Hosts were fabulous, rooms were very clean and spacious, bed comfortable had a great couple of nights sleep, breakfast very tasty. All in all a great place to stay and a good base for travelling around this area of Cumbria!!

Stayed with my grandsons 10 & 8 as we were visiting the safari zoo. Was a little nervous on arrival as the bar area was full of guys who had clearly been enjoying a boozy afternoon. We nipped out for dinner and were shown our room. Wow ! I was really surprised it was beautiful. Manchester City were playing that evening and the staff allowed the boys to sit and watch. The boozy crowd I had been so nervous about were really friendly and chatted with me and the boys. They made us feel very welcome in what was obviously their local. Beds were really comfy and we all slept well. Breakfast was delicious. I would 100% recommend

We had a night in the family suite, and the owner couldn't have been more polite or accomodating. The rooms were spacious and clean, with the breakfast super tatsy. We felt really welcomed. If you need a budget stay, this hands down beats local big hotel chains. It's on the outskirts of barrow too, only 30mins to windermere.

Friendly, warm welcome from the staff. Large, comfortable, clean room with newly refurbished en suite bathroom. Comfortable bed and spotless bedroom. Breakfast plentiful and tasty. Would highly recommend !
