We were a family of 7 ranging from 4 to 63 years of age on a 4 day holiday. I have stayed at Oro in the past and chose this for it's location to the beach and town, the pool (not many hotels have one) and breakfast included which was excellent for what we paid and suited our needs perfectly. The staff are lovely and very helpful and always available if you need anything. The accommodation has everything you need. Yes the bathroom can get a bit waterlogged but it soon dries out in the heat and wasn't an issue for 4 of us sharing the maisonette. We were out every day of our stay and it was lovely to be able to come back and have a drink by our hotel room. The breakfast is very good and plenty of it and if you cannot find anything you like, then you are a very fussy eater! Our room wasn't ready when we arrived midday, but this wasn't an issue as we were able to change the children and they used the pool until later. It was very easy to get into town for the evening, but if you preferred to stay closer there are some lovely restaurants and bars in Megali Ammos. We enjoyed it so much, we have booked again for 2026 this time for 9! Thank you Oro Hotel x

We are currently at the Hotel Oro..this charming family run hotel is truly a "must"..We (a family of 3x ladies) arrived on Saturday 20th..we were shown to our lovely room with panoramic sea views and were really pleased with it..however, we couldn't lift our cases up to the room..no problem Athina (receptionist extrornaire) arranged for them to be brought up...after a day my mother admitted she couldn't make the stairs another mention to Athina and a poolside room was arranged..as was a hairdryer and later an iron. The breakfast provided includes pastries, eggs, bacon, sausages,Greek yoghurt fruit..jams of all descriptions cakes and a host of other things, tea, coffee and juices. The bar staff are a true asset to this hotel, friendly, pleasant and efficient. The Oro is perfectly placed for the enchanting harbour where restaurants of all shapes and sizes where happy hour can last for literally hours as each have their own times.Shops (not the usual tourist tat) but really lovely things..entice shoppers to open their wallets...and the never ending colourful boats Bob about on the sparkling sea...if I seem to be waxing lyrical about the Oro and all besides perhaps it's because it truly deserves it.....efharisto para poli Oro and all of the hard working brilliant staff who work there...

We booked the complementary pick up from the airport. Took us about 15 minutes. We couldn’t book in advance only the day before. We were on an early flight but couldn’t have the room till 3 o’clock. ( even though we saw the cleaners leave at 1. We waited in the small reception. The room is a good size. Good bed. Fridge, air condition, small balcony and a kettle we received 2 teabags on day one. No coffee. This was never replaced again in the 10 days we were there. 2 bottles of water provided on first day. Bathroom is a wet room which gets very messy. Individual toiletries are provided but they were never replaced during our stay. There is a problem with the sink when you ran water the smell was terrible and I mean terrible. I think there must be something unpleasant in the pipes. There is no room in the bath room to put anything a shelf etc. which is a pain. Breakfast is served in a room off reception. I found it a good breakfast. The eggs are already done and put in a warming plate. There are 18 rooms. And a small pool with 6 beds no shade. This is the big problem. If you want to spend time by the Pool you have to be lucky. There is a bar by the pool for drinks. As far as I am aware pool towels are not provided we were never offered them. The girls are lovely in the hotel very friendly. I would come back, apart from the smell in the bathroom my only other issue would be not enough Pool beds, but if you are not interested in the pool it’s great. It is very close to the town 8 minute walk, 5 minutes to the nearest beach. Bus stop 4. I found the location great.

‘Nice’ is the best way to describe this hotel. Sure, we’ve stayed in worse, but for the money, we’ve stayed in better. The staff are excellent; something which IMO leads to ‘rose tinted’ 5 star reviews. Breakfast is OK, location is similarly OK. If your mobility is compromised then this isn’t the place for you, with lots of steps unless you’re lucky enough to get a poolside room. Whilst the building is newish, it reminds me of a Chinese build, where attention to detail is non existent. For example, gaps in skirting boards and door frames etc. water pressure no good and smells from shower drains. In summary and on a more positive note, as I say, staff were excellent and quality of sleep was good. Just don’t expect too much and you might be pleasantly surprised

First time booking a holiday ourselves. The hotel offered a courtesy pick up from the airport, which we arranged via email, it is only a short journey , however great service from a small Hotel. Location was fab for the town and 2 minutes walk from bus stop. The room was immaculately clean , but small. There was a wet room, rather than a separate shower cubicle. The staff at reception were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, as were the 2 young ladies on the bar/snack area. If you want to spent the whole time sunbathing around the pool it may be an issue at high season as there are only 6 sun loungers and a small swimming pool. It’s a perfect position for the town and bus route. We travelled to the beautiful beaches half the time we were there, there is a local beach , however we didn’t use it, but many did. Lots of guests used the hotel as a base and explored all the island has to offer. If we ever returned, we would consider staying again due to location and value for money.

Small friendly apartments, the young girls in reception and at the bar were so lovely, always happy to help. The free pick up and drop off at the airport was such a bonus. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and spacious. We had a 2nd floor room which had an amazing view of the town and sea and over the pool too. The pool is small and only a few sunbeds but still present, clean and nice to have a bar next to it. It is a 10 minute walk into town and small beach nearby too. 2 mins to the bus stop A perfect stay for us.

We loved this hotel. Our first floor room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view from our balcony. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was cleaned daily and the maids and all the other girls at reception, and in the bar worked really hard. Location was ideal, short walk to the town, short walk to our favourite beach and even shorter walk to bus stop 4. The pool area was nice, the hotel is only small but that suited us and we had a really pleasant stay. Breakfast was good. The lift to the airport was really appreciated. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to Skiathos

We have just returned from a fantastic week at Hotel Oro, special mention to Ariana on reception, she was always so cheerful and to IRENE the barista, she was so friendly and funny, she had us in tears of laughter everyday! She is an asset to the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Barbara, Sandra and Russell ??

We visited Oro last August and we where thrilled by that. We where welcomed by the most friendly and helpful staff we could have met. Every single person in that hotel, from the delightful receptionists to the amazing staff at the bar taught us what means greek hospitality. Every morning we had an fantastic breakfast at the most cozy and newly designed breakfast area. There was plenty of space for all of us and we never had trouble finding a spot to sit immediately. An other amazing fact about the hotel is the location! That was ideal for me and my husband cause we were literally everywhere by foot within minutes. There is a bus stop (bus stop number 4) in two minutes from the hotel that we used only to go to some beaches of the island such as famous Koukounares and Vromolimnos. But we spend also most of our days by the pool of the hotel and the nearby beach Megali Ammos whis is a few minutes. Everything was so close to us and we had the convenience of being in the main city but not in the crowded areas of it. Our stay at Oro was a dream! Definitely coming back with our whole family this time! Jessica and Peter!!

Oro is a true gem of Skiathos town! We booked our holidays a year in advance and we got paid by the result. We had the most wonderful holidays of our lives (no exaggerations). Firstly, the energy of this place was amazing. All of the hotel staff were super friendly and welcoming. They gave us all of the information needed and made our holidays extra special with their hospitality. Also, another thing that we really liked was the breakfast area which seemed to be renovated and and amazing place to enjoy your breakfast in such a peaceful and relaxing way. Lastly I can’t recommend enough that place for how close it is to everything. Literally the main pedestrian street is in few minutes from the hotel and the nearest beach Megali Ammos is almost 3 minutes by foot. You have all of the convenience of the town without being stuck on the crowded and loud streets. It is the best place to stay at Skiathos town and we can’t recommend it enough!! Definitely be back next year, save a place for us!! Joanne!!
