Schlichtes angenehmes Zimmer in einer kleinen Parkanlage mit Pool. Zimmer sehr sauber und mit freundlichem Personal, das man ausser ihrer Wirkung kaum spürt.

Sehr sch?nes zentral gelegenes Hotel in Hanga Roa. Hafen, Lokale, Kirche,Mercado und auch der Moai Tahai (der einzige mit Augen) fu?l?ufig leicht erreichbar. Sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück. Angenehmer Pool (genügend Platz, da nicht voll besetzt und die G?ste ohnehin meist Ausflüge machen).Auf den Freifl?chen vor den Zimmern Terrassen mit Stühlen und Tischen - bei "Vollbesetzung" w?ren aber zu wenige - eigentlich sollte jedes Doppelzimmer auch zwei Stühle und einen Tisch zur Verfügung haben.

Location- centre of town so bars, restaurants, the ocean and the Catholic Church are all five minutes walk. Food - the breakfast was the best breakfast since arriving from the UK to Chile; great scrambled eggs, fresh fruit particularly watermelon, cakes including my favourite apple crumble cake and a range of cheeses, hams and meats. Plus English breakfast tea! Previous comments - the pool is now spotless, WiFi works in rooms and Maggie on reception speaks excellent English. Rooms - rustic like staying at your aunt’s place. There’s a safe, great air conditioning and a patio door that opens with a bug screen so you can listen to the wildlife. Swimming pool - I loved my half day trips so that I could come back and lie down in the shade on one of the pool chairs and read a book under the palm trees. Bliss. Why not 5 stars? - there were a couple of days where there was only cold water for showers - as I stated for five days coming back in the afternoons from treks out, it would have been special to have somewhere in the hotel to have a cup of tea (or a cup of tea by the pool).

A clean and well located hotel near 'downtown' Hanga Rua. Helpful staff. Simple but good breakfast. Big pool (but it was too cold outsude when i was there) and good access to sites and museums.

Great experience for more than a week. Right in the center of the town. Family owned. Great staff. They know when and where everything was happening. Nice breakfast, beautiful setting. I could not have been more pleased with my stay. We were fortunate to have had a umu (luau) they put on.

Great location. The hotel is nondescript and has no signage indicating its presence. Very good breakfast. You’ll hear lots of bird sounds there including roosters that start their cries very early in the morning. There are other residences around the hotel, so you’ll hear their sounds as well, including their late-night music and banter.

This hotel is in a good location not far from the main street or the harbour. The room was large and had air conditioning. A safe and hairdryer are also provided. There was plenty of storage. There is a nice swimming pool with loungers and tables. The gardens are beautifully kept. The hotel is mainly quiet although there are free range hens and cockerels so be prepared for the dawn chorus!!! Breakfast was adequate. The internet access is only available in reception or the restaurant but even then it is very patch and unreliable. There is no bar service which is a shame as it would be nice to sit by the pool with a drink. The staff are friendly and efficient.

I stayed at the O'tai for 4 nights in June 2024. The location is excellent, with the main streets in town (restaurants, bars, shops etc) a very short walk away (5 mins). It is about a block from the ocean, meaning you can hear the waves at night but are protected from the winds. It was nice being able to walk so easily to dinner every night. My room was very large and spotlessly clean, with fairly basic furnishings. The bed was comfortable and the shower had hot water with good water pressure. It was also very quiet at night. The windows all had very good screens and it was lovely to just have the windows open for fresh air without needing to use the air conditioning. The hotel garden is very well maintained, with lots of beautiful flowers. Breakfast was fine - eg scrambled eggs, toast with jams etc, cheese, deli meats, cereal, cakes. The reception staff I spoke with all spoke excellent English.

When we arrived at the property we found out that we didn't have a reservation with the hotel-even though ******* had said that we were booked- so that was quite a surprise as you can imagine !With the island being heavily booked we were worried but the front desk lady was so wonderfully good that she took control of our situation and found us a spot at another hotel right next door for one night. Without her, it would have been terrible ! She was the best !! The hotel was lovely and in a perfect location and the breakfasts were great.
The grounds were lovely and ideal for relaxation .
