Rooms clean and spacious , but trying to contact them regarding a lost laptop left in the room. Tried calling them but the number won’t connect, sent 3 emails but only to get an automated email back, my Grandaughter left her laptop that she had for her birthday in a cupboard, so frustrating how do you get hold of them

房间很大,很乾净,冰箱、微波炉、热水壶、炉具和餐具一应俱全,生活很方便,空调太吵,是我们90年代用的窗式空调,没有前台服务,要打电话等发邮件,填写表格后发送过来开门密码,对英语不好的客户要谨慎订房。

A truly awful place. My friend and I requested twin beds in a non smoking room when we decided to spend a couple of nights attending some theatre. We arrived a couple of hours early but couldn’t get in until they sent us a code right on 2pm. For an early checkin or late checkout they charge $30 an hour! The queen room we were allocated was disgusting. First of all, the bedding was a lumpy old queen. The bathroom absolutely stunk. It was shabby and hadn’t been updated in any way since it was built. We were also pleased it had a pool, but found when we got there that the water was green and opaque, and the surrounding Astro Turf mouldy and black. Since this joint is fully automated, there was no one onsite to speak to so we found a phone number and spoke to an Indian chap. We found our booking confirmation and it clearly stated twin beds. We were told we could be upgraded to a family room since NO queen rooms had 2 beds, but that we would have to pay the difference. Naturally, we declined and after about 40 minutes of negotiation, we were finally put into a family room at no added cost . I didn’t see that any of the surrounding rooms were occupied ( which is hardly surprising!) , but we were placed right next to a room with a Mum and several teenagers who chatted loudly and smoked into the night. Why not put us into another room a bit distant from that? There was a leaky tap in the bathroom which ran all night, and no one to tell. The floors were sticky and the shower tiles caked with mould. What more can I say? The place should be condemned. I don’t know how they get away with it.

We stayed at this hotel in late Jan 24. Check in is done via an app (No personal receptionist to help if there is any check-in or other issues with the apartment) and was difficult to navigate, access to the upper-level apartments, is via a steep set of stairs and once in the apartment and adding in the access code, we were greeted with a bad smell in the room. The Air-conditioner was not turned on for our arrival, so this also did not help. To finish, the body soap, shampoo and conditioner were placed on the floor of the shower cubical and not up in a holder off the tiles, so we did not use them at all.

We are aged pensioners. Just before Christmas I required emergency aeromedical transport (RACQ) to Brisbane from Central Queensland. My wife very stressed about my situation had to make her own way to Brisbane and find accommodation for herself for at least a week. A mixup with the hospital I was being admitted to, resulted in my wife booking a motel on the south side of Brisbane rather than Chermside on the Northside. After prepaying $1,600 for the week, the error become apparent and her booking was cancelled a full day before her ETA. It was our mistake and we were expecting to forfeit possibly one night’s tariff. Image our horror when Paramount only refunded $613.75 and withheld $1,000. I have contacted the motel a number of times to resolve this but all my requests have been rejected. The management is not flexible nor humane in dealing with less fortunate individuals at the lowest point in their lives. For this I cannot recommend supporting this establishment and feel obliged to make known publicly their ruthless, merciless, make a profit at any cost culture. This business does not deserve to be supported by the travelling public.

This review is for Paramount Motel, 649 Main Street, Kangaroo Point, QLD. Good for short / medium / long term stays; Serviced Apartments. We stayed here 4 nights. There are 20+ units, first and second floors. Each unit has ONE assigned private parking place, outdoors in the lot. Our unit was quiet, comfortable, clean, and spacious. Big bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, window, and a clothes line. Full kitchen, including full size refrigerator, small electric stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, dishes and cutlery. Kitchen table and chairs. Bed big enough for two, plus a single bed which we didn't need or use, except as a useful low table. Sofa and coffee table. Desk and chair. Closet. Big TV we didn't use. AC, worked fine. We were lucky to have a unit with a view of the street through the small kitchen window, with screen and security grill, we could open for fresh air. Big window adjacent to front door, we kept the drapes closed. Good WiFi. Overall comfortable. Check in was a challenge. No staff at property. But good staff phone support. Doors have an electric combination lock. Initially our door would not open. Phone support staff told us the number they saw us entering, some of the digits were repeated. Consider the buttons were "bouncing" and changed press technique to be brief stab the buttons instead of gentle press, then the lock worked okay. A note by the WiFi router warns to not unplug it, because that will break the electric door lock, access won't be possible. Hopefully there won't be a power outage. There was no room service, though longer stays might be able to request fresh linen. Instructions are to leave unit clean upon departure. Failure may result in confiscation of some / all of the $100 deposit. There was a nice swimming pool but no access. Because the gates were locked with a physical key. Assume a request would result in access method. Neighborhood was convenient. Small 24 hour IGA with Subway Sandwich about 200 metre walk. Bottlemart liquor store across the street, also about 200 metre walk. KFC and McDonalds about 350 metre walk. Various bars, cafes, restaurants, etc. Streets felt safe at night, various people walking about comfortably.

Very poor service which you need call to servic center to get the password and which room you will get, it did not provide any service from the Motel, l think l did nor recommend to any person for choose that Motel!
