Having walked past the hotel for many years it was amazing to stay there. The hotel has had a gorgeous makeover. Amazing! The setting is stunning. The staff are all very friendly and the food is delicious many thanks to the chefs who you don’t see. The only downside was the size of the room it was a bit cramped we stayed in room 4. We only stayed 2 nights which we managed but I wouldn’t want to stay longer in that particular room. I would definitely stay again but I would have to look at the different room options. Thank you to all the staff ??
We stayed in a beautiful room with a fabulous view. It didn’t feel like a hotel, more like your own bedroom at home so nice and homely. Following its recent refurbishment on the whole it’s a lovely job. Would we stay again, yes we would. Beautiful views across the harbour and the other direction to Porthminster from the bar and restaurant.
We stayed in room18, a Deluxe suite, amazing aspect situated directly by the sea.
Comfy, friendly staff, dinner menu possibly a bit limited but will definitely stay again.
When we arrived, I went to book in. The receptionist went to show the people in front of us their room. The manager walked past me and sat in his office. It wasn't until a waitress came to ask the manager about her ear pods that went missing. The waitress ask me if I was being seen to and when I said no she had to prompt the manager to see to me. Reluctantly he asked me what my name was. By this time the receptionist had returned and I had to give my details again. Not a good start. The receptionist asked me if I wanted to book for dinner. I asked for a table at 18.00. She said that it would be better for 19.30. What could I do but agree. When me and my wife went down at 19.15 that waitress asked if I'd booked. I said yes, room 5. The waitress said that I hadn't booked. When she looked the receptionist had booked us in a day later.
Excellant Service
Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were excellant, super selection of food service was above and beyond, I cant thank the hotel enough. I am a single female traveller,I felt extremly welcome. .
Iwe have stayed there many times over the years i tried to book it on the phone nobody answered i wanted 2nights and could only have one the on line booking is rubbish the shower was very smelly in the drain and the shower cubicle far too small the breakfast buffet was cut too the bare minimum very poor cut backs had gone too far
