We stayed in this hotel for 11 nights at the end of September as a couple. Checking in was quick and easy and the lady on reception was very nice and helpful. When we arrived in the room it all looked great and we had booked a swim up room. The swim up bit is not really a pool, but a mtr wide strip that goes the length of the building. Not as nice as the photos showed it to be. The room also had some issues where the room had been refurbed, you could see all the old room behind new ceilings etc, where the workmanship wasn't the greatest. As a 4 star hotel this was a bit of a let down. On to the food.... i would say it was passable but not great. Just about enough choice every night, but very little labelled and you had to taste a bit on your plate to see what it was. Drinks were ok if not great, the lager in the sister hotel across the road i would say was much better. We tended to buy a bottle and soft drinks as a mixer instead, even tho we were all inc. Hotel is just outside the main area so a 10 min walk to the busier bit so you could walk your meal off either way. We ate out a few times and the local places were very good and couldn't do enough for you. We also got caught up in the huge rainstorm while we were there, so a smart tv was handy to watch a bit of Netflix. Overall it was pleasant, but not worth the price it is to come out in 2026. You can get a better hotel elsewhere in Greece for half the price.

We came back to this hotel after visiting two years ago thinking it will be the same if not, better. We arrived late and was greeted by reception. We were given some juice which was different from the last time. The adults got a prosecco cocktail and the kids a mocktail. The juice/mocktail wasn't very nice. Breakfast: Our daughter has a peanut allergy and we adivsed Jet2 and the hotel directly and we tried to navigate the allergen advice but got stuck so asked a member of staff. They were unsure, so asked another and then went away to ask someone else. Once they came back they said they weren't sure and to avoid it. Turned out it was a soya symbol but we still avoided it. There was plenty at breakfast but it was the same everyday but that is breakfast for you. Food: You can either have the buffet lunch or order from the snack menu. The snack menu hasn't changed in the two years but the food was nice and fresh. Bonus is you can have your food brought to you at your sun bed. Nice! Dinner is buffet style, lots to choose from but if I am honest it did get boring after a few days. Lots of stewed type meats in sauce etc. We found something everyday though so never ate out. Drinks: Last time we came they make an effort with the cocktails but making them look nice with fresh fruit or mint etc but this time, just in a plastic cup. I hate those plastic reusable cups but I get why they have them. Thankfully you get glass when eating lunch at the restaurant or dinner and then on the evening too. If you want to take drinks to your room you get given plastic. Rooms: We had a delux room facing the pool. Nice balcony but honestly, the room was tired looking. The shower room needed some TLC. Tap was lime scaled up and the shower was missing the drain cover. The sealant was mouldy and the tile trim looked like it has been stuck on after and cut short at both ends. Now these might be fussy for some but after being here before I was expecting the same as before. It actually wouldn't take much to bring back to the 4* rating they were. Pool & sunbeds: The pool was ok, it is not massive but big enough for the hotel. You can get fresh towels everyday which is great. Issues you have are, a big family staying there would literally think it is ok to hogg the whole pool by playing some throwing games. The sunbeds had changed from before which was good but some of the old wooden ones are still up on the back of the pool area. We used those on the upper areas more than the others, 1. to get away from the family screaming by the pool all day and 2. you get some shade up there. Area: This hotel is in a perfect area. You can easily walk to the main bars etc and to the beaches. I would recommend Kaliva Bar for drinks and entertainment and 110% try Makai Bar on Bouka beach. It is the most relaxed I had been all week. Right on the beach and to be fair, the prices were great for the decor and location, in fact cheaper than some of the other bar. Trust me, try it!!

Such a beautiful hotel! We booked bed and breakfast and the breakfast selection was great for us and the kids - they loved the pancakes with nutella! There was always a chilled vibe in the hotel, in the restaurant in the mornings as well as around the pool. We ordered drinks and lunch from the snack bar and it was really reasonably priced and really good food! Most mornings it was easy to get a sunbed just before breakfast - the issue was groups of people who would save 9 or 10 sun beds which was almost the entire row! I think its the one thing the hotel need to clamp down on - do not allow ANY towels on sun beds before 9am...if they did this then the hotel would be perfect. Our room was lovely and beds comfortable.....the swim up was really nice and our balcony got the sun all afternoon. Its 5 mins from the waterpark at the aqua suites hotel and there are restaurants, shops and bars just outside the hotel. Would 100% recommend this hotel and i would definitely come back!

We visited Planos Hotel in early August this year (August 1st - 8th, 2025). Honestly, it was a truly wonderful stay and we highly recommend. We are a young couple with a 18 month old. Having stayed at the Caravel (a 5* adults only in the same area - also highly recommended), 2 years earlier, this is comparable in terms of food, drinks rooms, service and overall style. ROOMS We stayed in a family swim-up, room number 104. We read to request room 101 - 105 and if you want sun all day from 9.30/10am, you really need one of these, ideally 102 - 104 to be honest! All the other swim-up rooms get some sun, at times (either morning or afternoon) throughout the day, but 101-105 are south facing, so all day sun! Others did have lots of shade, probably more than you would want. The room was cleaned daily and even when our toddler was napping, the cleaners came back when we were eating dinner - we didn’t even ask! Hard beds, but comfy enough, good air con, a useful divider to toddler can nap in the same room, but slightly separated, decent bathroom. I would say looking in other rooms near (e.g. 102, 103), they had showers and we had a smaller shower over a bath, but it was not an issue at all, in fact preferable for having a young child. From the room, there is no entrance to the bar area and you need to go through your room to get to the bar (although literally 10 seconds), it means you’re wet through your room. A small gap in the hedge would be ideal. FOOD AND DRINKS You must go all-inclusive, the prices are standard otherwise, but it is so worth booking an all-inclusive. The food, at breakfast, lunch and dinner, was excellent. A huge range and great selection, cooked well, hot and suiting all needs, including our toddler. Her diet was quite bland most the week (as she wasn’t always keen on varied flavours, or was fussy on how the broccoli differed from how we cook it at home), but that’s our problem and nothing the hotel did wrong. She still had carbs, veg and meat. Breakfast was all our favourites. The scrambled eggs and bacon was delicious, as well as the pancakes and Nutella! I recommend the iced coffee as well, but you need to order drinks yourself from the snack bar (literally attached to the restaurant), they don’t do table service. I think this is one of the only differences between a 4* and 5* (eg the Caravel, adults only nearby). POOL As we had a swim up, and room 104 with sun all day, we didn’t use the main pool once. But it’s a decent size and I could always see spare sunbeds. Although people did get out early (8 and possibly before) to reserve, it didn’t leave other people without, being a small hotel with a small number of guests, there were plenty around. The swim up room was amazing, the pool was a good size, clean and modern and perfect for us with a small child. In fact, guests in other rooms (101, 2, 3 and 5) who shared our pool were often not using the pool. LOTS of inflatables lying around too from previous guests. STAFF I genuinel

We are coming to the end of our week here. The first evening we were pleasantly surprised with the relaxed feel of the hotel, having booked knowing it doesn't have evening entertainment, however it didn't last long. I'll start with the positives STAFF They are all excellent. Hardworking, friendly and welcoming. ROOMS We have a swim up room and find the partition layout worked well for us. The shower was excellent and our drinking water was frequently replenished. The room was cleaned daily. LOCATION The hotel is set on a little side street in Planos. There are plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and entertainment, including an excellent waterpark a few minutes walk away (30% discount for Planos guests). The beach is stunning. You can pay for a set of sunbeds and easily spend the day there. There are watersports at the beach and it's a great spot for snorkeling. We used the sunbeds of the Alexandra Beach Resort and Spa and ordered drinks and food, all of which were excellent and better than what was served at Planos Hotel. Which moves me on to the negatives. FOOD Although plenty of choice, is very average, often lukewarm. This is the fifth all inclusive hotel I've stayed at in Greece and definitely not on a par with the others. The snacks you can order from the pool bar are better than the offering at dinner and lunch but twice we've been told they've stopped serving them before the advertised time of 5.30pm due to having too many orders. DRINKS I've always enjoyed the Greek wine on holiday and my partner enjoyed the beer but not here. The cocktails are also not great. You can pay for other premium options but we've been going to other bars where the atmosphere is nicer and the drinks better. NOISE After our initial first evening the hotel has quickly became overrun with some large groups of guests, some who are loud and obnoxious. I don't mind the sound of kids playing and having fun but the adults don't appear to be able to talk at a normal volume. Perhaps it's just me but I also find it particularly ignorant when people choose to sit their kids in front of tablets at the dinner table and have the sound on loud. The rest of us don't need to hear Peppa Pig! All in all we wouldn't recommend this hotel as an all inclusive as we've spent most of our time eating and drinking elsewhere, but if you have young children it would make a good base for a holiday.

Excellent hotel and amazing all inclusive services. The buffet restaurant plenty of food choices and excellent quality, they changed the dinner and evening options daily. All cooked fresh and plenty of food too. You can even order set meals from a menu to arrive fresh to tables and sun loungers. The pool is a lovley size and a good choice of beds. The room was lovely and a good size space with a tv you can access English apps on too. a shower with doors (not often in Greece). The location is brillant to access the beach and the main strip to more bars and restaurants. You can also use all facilities from the 2 sister hotels. I travelled with a 5year old and 4 month old and I found all facilities I needed for both children. Highly recommended if you want a smaller hotel with good food and drink options without feeling like you are locked in or going to the dinner hall.

I have just returned from spending a week at the Planos Hotel with my daughter and I honestly cannot fault it. All the staff were fantastic, very accommodating and professional. We opted for a premier suite and this was perfect for two of us. The rooms were clean with aircon and a fridge which was really useful - this was restocked daily with water bottles. There is no evening entertainment which is why we picked the hotel - however there is an option if booked with TUI to go to the hotel opposite for this. The pool was perfect with enough sunbeds and umbrellas for everyone. It is 5 min walk (if that!) to Bouka Beach and about 10 mins round the coastline to Tsilivi beach. We went into Zante Town on one of the days and the reception staff sorted out a taxi for us. The food was great and plenty to eat whatever your tastes. If you want a relaxing, chilled vibe then I would definitely recommend Hotel Planos. Looking at other hotels I honestly feel like this was the best - I would definitely like to return at some point.

First of all I would like to compliment the staff at this hotel, we were greeted by lovely smiling reception staff on arrival, the bar and waiting staff always smiling and chatty and the cleaners always acknowledging us with a friendly hello. They all work incredibly long hours and work hard to keep the hotel sparkling clean and welcoming. Maybe we picked the wrong hotel for us as it is incredibly boring!! No atmosphere around the pool area (we had a swim up room which was a godsend…room 104, fabulous). The constant elevator music drove us crazy, and felt like Christmas with Michael Buble playing in the background… you can go to the Admiral in the evening for the entertainment which was very different… we saw 3 great singers who gave it their all but had a tough crowd, the Greek Night was so bad we walked out!! And don’t get me started on Michael Jackson!!! As for the food…it’s pretty dreadful with no real Greek meals…pretty much what I cook every night at home for the family… macaroni, shepherds pie, roast turkey and mash, bolognaise etc…not what I want to eat on a Greek holiday!! We were all inclusive but ate out a few times as we couldn’t face another run of the buffet… the drinks were however quite good, especially in the evenings, but the all inclusive ends at 11pm which is too early!! Drinks are then chargeable for however long people want to stay out. It’s actually put us off going all inclusive in the future… to recap - if you like a really quiet hotel with mediocre food then this is for you, perhaps we picked wrong!
