Thank you for your review, Trudy. We are really sorry that your husband had to walk down to the house, and I apologised at the time. The gate entry code was installed early in the year for the protection of both ourselves and guests. We do have a system where your booking agents to send out the code to guests automatically two days before their arrival, but your visit was one of the first following inception and sadly the booking agent did not get it right on that occasion. The system is now well established and works perfectly. As you know, we have 15 acres of landscaped gardens and orchards here, which all need tending to. That is why we ask guests to only arrive between 6pm and 9.30pm unless you have arranged an earlier time of arrival with us. This way we can ensure there will always be someone to greet you. To back this up our land line plays a message asking people to ring a mobile number if the main telephone is not answered. We always have that mobile 'phone with us when away from the house. At the time of your arrival it was in fact the dogs barking that alerted us to your presence and caused us to return to the house as quickly as possible. We do hope to see you again soon and can reassure you that all the bugs are out of the system now! Best wishes, David.
