We booked Sunday lunch on a 'spur of the moment' on Saturday evening. The roast beef and roast lamb were fantastic, the trimmings & veg beautiful, and the Queens Ale wonderful. A beautiful pub in a beautiful location and the food and service are superb. Thank uou. We'll be back soon.

I went for Sunday lunch with my partner ( booking essential). The drive out from kilnsey is really enjoyable with quiet roads and fantastic scenery (through Arncliffe the location used for All creatures great and small). On entering the pub to the right through the main door we were made to feel very welcome. I had the roast lamb Henry. The meat was very tender ( local littondale lamb) and came with gravy, mashed and roast potato, carrot puree, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and a Yorkshire pudding. I was too full for pudding but nicely full for the rest of the day. A fantastic meal. I also had the local brewed real ale which was a great pint. The location is fantastic, as you can drive back to Arncliffe and over to Malham, on a narrow road, or carry on until Settle with another great drive or just go back down the valley.

We had our family Christmas meal, there were 14 of us, yet they went out of their way to accommodate us. Nothing was too much for them. The service was excellent, and the food was one of the best meals we've had for many years. With a roaring open fire and lots of atmosphere, I'd recommend anyone to go and experience the food and welcome. Dr John

We stayed nearby and found the pub setting idyllic. Staff were friendly as were the locals. The food was delicious and different

Lovely pub. Heard one of the locals say it had recently been refurbished. Lovely food. My husband said it was one of the best pies he had tasted in a long while. The staff were very friendly and helpful. One thing let it down badly. On my way to the toilets as i went through the corridor there was an overwhelming smell of stale urine. Really no need for it. It really let the pub down. So we wont be visiting again. Would have said excellent but can only say poor.

Small and friendly with excellent pies and locally brewed beer. Steak and ale pie very good. Lots of character. Log fire. Definitely worth a detour. Too many dogs allowed in small seating area though. Large Garden. Will definitely be back.

What a fabulous little local and authentic Dales pub! We will DEFINITELY be back! The pies are honestly the best we have EVER tasted. The lamb pie is genius, and the Steak & Blue Cheese pie on the specials board is astounding. The chips have such a delicious flavour. An excellent range of beers and lagers, including 3 of their own Lamb Brewery Ales, which are spot on. It's truly a local pub, and the atmosphere was friendly and warm. We loved it, and will return.

Wonderful pub! We were in Litton for a week’s holiday and went to the pub every night for a drink, and ate on 2 evenings. It’s our third visit to the area, mainly because of this pub! Food, drinks all excellent and staff extremely friendly. On this occasion , Michelle and her husband went away on a short break after we had been there for a couple of days. We were looked after extremely well by their friends, who were covering for them. Two friends decided to surprise us and they rang the pub and managed to change the booking to 4 ..accommodating us all ! Thankyou again for a wonderful week!!
