We have visited Quinta do Mel on several occasions, though we haven’t lodged there. All the occasions we were there we liked the food, the service, and the staff. We have tried the brunch, which was good and very fulfilling. On that occasion, as we were accompanied by friends that didn’t eat cold cuts, immediately they were presented with a substitution. Another time, we were there also for breakfast that can be ordered either as standard breakfast or à la carte. One weekend, we had the opportunity to attend a Wine Dinner. It was a wine pairing dinner that had several tasty and well-presented courses paired with very good wines. Our last visit before writing this review was yesterday, when we had afternoon tea with friends. All these occasions were enhanced with the delightful surroundings at different times of the day. We weren’t disappointed. Last but not least, we did the guided tour at Quinta do Mel’s farm to learn about the production of aromatic herbs. Since the tour was interesting, we also visited and did the tour at twin Quinta do Freixo to learn about their production gems and liquors. Overall, these places are highly recommended for visiting.

We’ve just returned from a 10 days stay at this wonderful Quinta. The staff is exceptional : from the lovely cleaning ladies who make sure that your room and bathroom is spotless, up to the kitchen staff who make your stay absolutely great and cook fabulous, up to the waiters who are so friendly that you feel at home. Many thanks to Marié, Ronaldo and Sjabi. Your smiles made our day. The peace and quiet was all we needed. The sheep and goats were a great surplus! Très joli au milieu de la nature, malheureusement extrêmement bruyant, ils accueillent des enfants en bas age alors que l’insonorisation est quasi nulle! On a donc été réveillé à 6h du matin tous les jours et endormi bercés par les cris du bébé voisin de chambre, l’enfer! La piscine est gelée, il n’utilisent pas la gratuité du soleil pour faire chauffer l’eau, elle donc surtout décorative car impossible d’y nager. L’emplacement à quelques km de la plage et de l’accès autoroute est certainement un atout. Le restaurant est ok pour le prix, le petit déjeuner très bon, servi à table sur le principe d’un brunch, sans horaire de début et de fin ce qui est idéal pour ceux qui veulent démarrer la journée tranquillement. Les chambres sont joliment décorées mais n’ont quasi aucun rangement, on a d? conserver nos affaires dans les valises. Notre douche était cassée, le pommeau ne se fixait pas au mur ce qui nous obligeait à nous laver les cheveux à une main, pas très pratique et malgré l’avoir signalé ?a n’a pas été réparé. Il y a la climatisation.

When i dinned at quinta do mel it was a very pleasant experience the waitress was very friendly and helpful the food was delectable and my taste buds were sensationally satisfied once i have finished my meal however when we went onto having desserts i was rather let down when there were no pingu icecreams available for purchase as with many of the other place i dinned i was treated with a pingu ice cream to consider returning to your restaurant i will need to know that you serve pingus thank you good day toodlepip
