Upon arrival after a long drive, I was simply looking forward to unpacking, getting some dinner, and settling in for a good night’s rest. Unfortunately, that’s not how the evening unfolded. At check-in, I felt more scrutinized than welcomed. The front desk associate questioned my company’s rate and asked for proof of employment. I provided my business card, including my title and position, but she still needed to confirm it with her manager. His response—an eye roll followed by a reluctant “I guess”—was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome. I’m unsure what additional proof was expected, but the interaction left a poor first impression. After quickly unpacking and stepping out for dinner, I returned to the room to do a bit of work and get ready for bed. With temperatures in the 90s that day, I turned the air conditioning down to cool the room, as I prefer a cooler environment for sleeping. However, when I woke around 11:00 PM, the room temperature had not changed—it remained at 72 degrees throughout the night. Combined with an uncomfortable mattress, I had a restless night and woke feeling disappointed and unrested. As a frequent traveler and lifetime Marriott Gold member, I’ve come to expect a consistent level of service and comfort. While I generally have positive experiences, this stay was an exception. Regrettably, I will not be returning to this property and will seek alternative accommodations on future visits to Springfield.

Very nice hotel Great hotel, from check in to the very nice, updated and clean room. I have significant allergies and there were no strong scents or fragrances. We will definitely stay here again!

This was my first time staying at a Residence Inn as part of a large family reunion group. I was very impressed with the spacious suite. The room was fully equipped with everything that one would need for an extended stay. I did not need to use any of the kitchen as I was only there for 2 nights but I can see where this would be a wonderful layout for someone needing to stay a while. There were many, many outlets as well for devices. The desk, work area, even had a ***** for many outlets. The blow dryer was adequate for my medium hair. The room, as well as all the public areas, were very clean. I liked the sanitizing wipes available to clean the remote and other surfaces. Everything was in perfect order for my stay. The room was very quiet from hearing others but one of our party said they could hear people above them, I never had that issue. My only complaint on noise was the HVAC unit was rather noisy and it's placement in the room is right by the bed. It was constantly kicking off and on and in hindsight I should of asked the desk if they had earplugs. Honestly, that was the only issue I had but I have a hard time sleeping anywhere new the first few nights. The bed was very comfortable and I liked the bedding, very soft and cozy, perfectly inviting to fall asleep. I was very impressed with the breakfast provided. I am not a big breakfast eater and typically the food offered at hotel breakfasts seems to come out of a bag and gets heated up. The food was very flavorful, hot, and seasoned well. There were 2 ladies that came around picked up plates, offered bacon, I felt like I was at grandma's house and she was taking care of making sure we were all well fed. Those ladies did a wonderful job as we were a very large group for 2 mornings. The front desk staff was very nice and I seen people cleaning and taking care of things throughout the stay. We had a very large group and the room that was available to use was very nice as well as the spacious lobby area with lots of seating. We were able to spread out and have a very nice 2 day family reunion. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others and I will start looking at Residence Inn's closer when I travel.

This is a great residence inn. We have stayed here a few times, and we just stayed again over the July 4th holiday weekend. The staff are great. The room was very clean. They are doing a good job maintaining the hotel. It still seems new. The breakfast was good and is typical of the brand. We stay at a lot of Marriotts and residence inns, and this is a good place to example of the brand. We will be back!

This hotel is tired. Wallpaper coming off, missing tile in the bathroom, caulking coming out in shower. The bed was reasonably comfortable, staff was friendly. Breakfast was pretty good although no bread, just English muffins and mediocre bagels

I have been to the area a few times and typically stay down-town, but this time I decided to do something different and I am so glad I did. I was traveling for spring break with my high school aged daughter. Having a hotel with free ample parking, a pool, and a kitchenette was perfect for us. The kitchenette was adorable; we brought our own groceries and saved time and money by not eating out (which to me is always a cost killer when traveling). The bed was comfy, the space was perfect for hanging out in the evenings, the pool was a decent size and never crowded, and the staff were all super friendly. I also found the place to be particularly clean.

This is a pretty typical Residence Inn, and we have stayed in a lot of them. We like the brand, and they deliver good service and accommodations. Everything was very clean, and we had no complaints. We stayed July 3rd, but we have stayed previously as we visit Springfield often. Out of the Marriott’s in Springfield, the Residence Inn and SpringHill are our favorites.

I was a little concerned driving through the neighborhood, somewhat dated, to get to the hotel but then there it was - a beautiful newish appearing building set back from the primary roadway. Front desk gentleman pleasantly greeted me, offered me a snack and bottled water and explained the breakfast drill. I already knew that part, but he was so good at what he did, I listened to the entire intro. Great front desk team. Room was clean, great selection of tv channels, and the bed was very comfortable. I didn’t use the kitchenette but it was appointed with anything one might need for an extended stay. Morning breakfast has everything you could want - fresh eggs, bacon, English muffins, biscuits & gravy, fruit…and the lady who was tending the breakfast bar was very friendly and prepared to help in any way, including local directions.

2 adults 1 kid in a King Studio Suite just perfect and large for us. We were at room 211 and we stayed July 9-11, 2022. Pros - Large, fully equipped room with comfy bed lots of pillows - full sized kitchen with pots pans plates glasses cooking utensils etc. - EXCELLENT front desk staff especially the tall, male receptionist of whom I'm sorry to say I did not get the name. Very friendly, accommodating and willing to help with whatever our needs. - Newly renovated modern hotel - Around 15 minutes away from downtown Lincoln tour spots and there are tons of restaurants around the area (some walkable) - It was a pro for us that the pool area is by appointment only and only 1 room can use the pool in the hour alloted to your appointment. - Comes with free breakfast which rotates with the usual fair of waffles, hot breakfast, croissant sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal etc. - Check out time is 12PM - Elevators are fast - Laundry room on-site Cons - While our room was clean and sheets were spotless, I did notice that the fridge was not wiped and the kitchen counters a bit sticky. But it wasn't a biggie because I wipe with sanitizing wipes all over the room anyway. - The AC is a bit loud, woke me up a bit but not too much. - Much of the time it was quiet. The only possible disquiet would be the door locking and opening at next door. - Although pool hours are by appointment only, there was a bunch of teens (some of them aren't even guests) who may disrupt the booking times as they tend to just get in and out of the pool without regard to policies and even left soaked towels beside the pool (disgusting behavior). Staff was able to handle them professionally. Overall, cons dont discount one bit of our stay which was pleasurable. Don't hesitate to book this property. It's one of the better hotels we've been and we stay at different hotels almost every month.
